Three people have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service following a viral video of a toddler being fed an alcoholic beverage.
The Ghana Police, in a statement, revealed the arrest took place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, following an intensive intelligence-led operation.
According to the Police statement, the incident is said to have happened in Kede in the Eastern Region, which ignited widespread outrage across social media platforms.
The three individuals arrested have been identified as Stephen Amoako (22), Identified as the father of the two-year-old victim. Tawiah Precious (18): Known by the alias “T’ Moni” and Emmanuel Dadzie (24): Also known as “Shapiro”.
The three suspects are currently in the Police custody to be arraigned before the court.
The Police statement read, “The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a viral video showing a two-year-old child being given an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region.
The suspects, Tawiah Precious, alias T’ Moni, aged 18, Emmanuel Dadzie, alias Shapiro, aged 24, and Stephen Amoako, aged 22, who is the father of the child, were arrested on Saturday, 20th December 2025, by officers of the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team at Okumani, a suburb of Kade, following sustained intelligence-led operations.
The two-year-old victim has been rescued and handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit at Asamankese for protection, pending reunification with the mother.
All three suspects are in custody and will be put before the court. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate and arrest two other suspects, Afram Bright, alias Mogabe and Panyin, who are currently at large.

In a similar story some months ago, the Ghana Police Service announced the arrest of a man in a viral video giving a cigarette to a toddler.
On November 22, 2025, the Ghana Police, in a statement issued, revealed that the suspect, identified as Samuel Obeng Asare Acheampong, had been arrested.
According to the Police statement, he was arrested through an intelligence-led operation.
The Police statement revealed that the suspect admitted to the offence during interrogation and claimed the incident happened five years ago.
Parts of the statement added, “The suspect is in custody, assisting the investigation, and will be put before the court”.
“The Police Service remains committed to ensuring the safety of children and would like to caution the public against acts that expose children to harm, since perpetrators will be pursued and arrested to face the full rigours of the law.”
