A 34-year-old woman identified as Ama Kwaku Oyo has been found dead in boyfriend’s room at Somanya.

Reports suggest that Ama Kwaku Oyo was earlier discovered unconscious in her boyfriend’s room before her body was later moved and abandoned at her family residence.

The Ghana Chronicles, sharing the news on X, wrote, “BREAKING: Woman found dead in boyfriend’s room at Somanya.

The deceased, identified as Ama Kwaku Oyo, was earlier discovered unconscious in her boyfriend’s room before her body was later conveyed and abandoned at her family residence.

Preliminary police findings indicate that the woman had visited her boyfriend, identified as Tetteh Bi, earlier in the day. The two reportedly prepared fufu together, although she did not eat.

“She later went into the room, and when he followed, he found her lying motionless. We were also informed that she was known to drink heavily,” the source said

“The body has been deposited at the Yilo Krobo District Hospital and will be transferred to the Police Hospital in Accra for an autopsy,” the police source added.

In related news, a popular guest house owner, known as “James Bond”, alleged to have murdered his girlfriend, is on the run.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred at the BJ Tech Guest House in Ehiamankyene in the Fanteakwa South District.

The victim has been identified as Koryo, who was a well-known food vendor at the Ehiamankyene market.

Reports suggest the victim had a child with the suspect, James Bond, but the two did not stay together.

Family sources revealed the relationship after the victim’s relatives strongly disapproved of it.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the tragic incident occurred when the victim visited the suspect at his guest house and never returned home.

Reports suggest that the victim’s younger brother went to the guest house and peeped through a window and found his sister in a pool of blood, alerting their parents immediately.

The Begoro police later retrieved the body on the evening of Thursday, November 13, 2025 and deposited it at the Begoro Government Hospital.

Tension later flared up with angry youths setting an Apsonic GY9 motorbike belonging to the suspect ablaze, and they aggressively tried to burn down the entire guest house.

John Kwame Narh, the Deputy Director of NADMO in the Fanteakwa South District, revealed that the suspect is currently on the run.

Meanwhile, the Police in Begoro have launched a manhunt for the suspect James Bond.

Also, the Begoro  Police are urging the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
