“Be careful, or else you won’t finish your second term” – Captain Smart warns Mahama

News“Be careful, or else you won't finish your second term” - Captain Smart warns Mahama

Godsbrain Smart Nkansah, popularly known as Captain Smart, has warned President John Dramani Mahama about a possible coup attempt to topple his administration.

According to Captain Smart, President Mahama must be careful, or else he won’t complete his second term in office.

Speaking on his Onua Maakye show, Captain Smart stated, “I don’t care about the National Security, and the military, I don’t care, I just don’t sit here just like that. John Mahama, listen to me properly, today I will not call you His Excellency.

Whoever is listening and watching, tell him, if Mahama does not go to grade the land, he might not be able to complete his four years. There are so many coups in Africa, and I support all of them”.

Captain Smart added, “The one that is going to happen in February, I support it; the one that is going to happen in April, during Easter in Ghana, I support it; it will not happen in Ghana, but I support it.

Africa is the richest continent, but we have the poorest mentally poor people, who are not able to lead us the way we want”.

Also, the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has warned of a possible coup attempt against President John Dramani Mahama by certain foreign elements.

The man of God boldly told the person planning the alleged coup against Ghana that they would not be successful.

Rev Owusu Bempah, speaking to his congregation about events to expect in 2026, stated, “Certain people have planned, and some of the people who are planning, or have planned, are foreigners who will come into Ghana. What I am saying is something I saw, that they entered this nation when we were not conscious of ourselves as a nation. All of a sudden, we heard there was a coup d’état,” he said.

He added, “Those who are planning that evil and want to stage a coup in this country, this is a warning to you because you will not succeed. And so we will pray about it, but the security agencies we have in this nation must be vigilant.”

Meanwhile, President John Mahama has already told the National Peace Council at the Jubilee House that Ghana is not immune to coup d’état.

According to John Mahama, Ghana is not immune to coup d’état, which is why his government is doing their best to make sure that they regain the trust of the people.

He stressed that democratic governance must let citizens have faith that it can deliver development.

Speaking during a courtesy call by the National Peace Council at the Jubilee House on December 10, President John Mahama stated, “For those of us who practice democratic governance, we must let our people have faith that democratic governance can deliver the kinds of opportunity and development that they are looking for”.

“You see a certain cynicism where young people said, even this voting is useless. I go and vote every four years, and I don’t see what difference it makes in our lives,” he said.

He cautioned, “One of my major campaign messages was that we have a last opportunity to keep the faith and trust of our people in the political elites. Otherwise, Ghana is not immune to coup d’états”.

President Mahama added, “I don’t enjoy prosecuting people, but the people of Ghana will not forgive us if people develop impunity in terms of abusing the trust that people have put in them”.

“That is why we are resourcing the Economic and Organised Crime Office and the other anti-corruption institutions, including the Office of the Special Prosecutor,” he added.
