The Ghana Police have arrested popular TikToker Ekow Black, known as Christford Affadu Danful, following the circulation of a viral video linked to an alleged domestic assault.

Ekow Black, in the viral video, was captured assaulting his girlfriend named Racheal Oduro.

Reports suggest that TikToker Ekow Black was arrested by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET).

According to the Police the alleged assault occurred on November 30, 2025, after an argument between the couple.

Police have arrested popular TikToker Ekow Black, real name Christford Affadu Danful (25), following a viral assault video involving his girlfriend, Racheal Oduro.

The arrest was carried out by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET). Police say the alleged assault occurred on November 30, 2025, after an argument between the couple”.

Ghanaians reacting to the news stated, “It’s unfortunate he allowed himself to go under wild uncontrollable anger”.

“Motivational speakers de3 so nar oooo hmm..I hear sey opnan dey mentor squad for relationships top waaa hmm…”, a netizen added.

Another X user added, “Right now, I want the Ghana police to try some cases in Nigeria too. The way they were beating the girl, and she was just kneeling and crying, was sad. The beatings were done by her boyfriend and some friends sitting there and laughing. Just wished our police could pick them up because the Nigerian police will not do it”.

An X user also stated, “This stupid guy dey tiktok dey bash guys wey they push the stingy and proud agenda without understanding the reason for the agenda but he beat women. Sia boy”.

In related news on assault, the  Ghana Police Service have announced that five suspects who were accused of assaulting a teacher of Kade Senior High and Technical School (SHTS) have all been convicted.

According to the Police Service, the suspects were arrested from various hideouts and were arraigned before the Kade District Court.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Felix Nana Danquah, Isaac ‘Dubai’ Okai, Edward ‘Missed Call’ Baah, Maxwell ‘Ozil’ Kwasi Antwi, and Richmond ‘Star Boy’ Yeboah were arraigned in court.

The five suspects were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, to wit assault, and assault.

All five suspects pleaded guilty and were convicted on their plea, with the court deferring sentencing to January 20, 2026.

Reports suggest the 2025 WASSCE students were arrested by the Cyber Security Unit of the Ghana Police Service and appeared in court today, January 7, 2026.

They were remanded into police custody pending a hearing on January 20, 2026.
