Nathaniel Bassey, a Prominent Nigerian gospel musician and pastor, has told married men who engage in extramarital affairs that they won’t survive 2026.
In a viral video shared on social media on January 21, 2026, Nathaniel Bassey warned both married men and young girls who chase married men that they won’t survive this year.
The gospel musician noted that some married men deceive innocent ladies into sexual relationships and warned that those who engage in those acts will face death in 2026.
Speaking to a congregation during a Church service, Nathaniel Bassey stated, “You’re a married man, and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them.
“If you take a lady to a hotel while you are married, you will not come out alive from that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly. I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try this year, you will not survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media,” he warned.
Nathaniel Bassey further fired a shot at ladies who deliberately involve themselves in affairs with married men due to material gains.
He warned that they would face the same fate.
“You too; you are a lady. If you know that the man is married, you know in your heart he’s married, but because of greed or because of attention. Because of Brazilian wigs and Brazilian hair, you want to carry Louis Vuitton bags. If you try it, you won’t survive it,” he added.
Some netizens reacting to the viral video stated, “The first ‘Amen’ came from those single ladies. The second “Amen” came from the wives of those married men.
No man said any “Amen”….even the pastor didn’t say Amen”.
“First it was Pastor Olukoya and now Pastor Nath. I pity married men who still choose to cheat this year. Their doom is near”, another X user noted.
An X user added, “Well, God doesn’t want any man to perish, but to repent. The act of such men is wrong, but the utterances of the pastor are not Christ-like.
If Jesus were to be like Pastor Nathaniel, he could have cursed the woman caught in adultery,
If those ladies were truly saved, they could also have said NO to sex before marriage, regardless of who was deceiving.
Let’s please be cautious, so that the anointing of the Spirit and His Grace sent to save, will not be for destruction (Acts10:38)”
One more netizen added, “You’re not in a position to impose such consequences. Are you smarter than God? Is that how he killed other lovers all over the world? Or you think the world ends in Nigeria, or your rule applies to only ur church members? Please don’t strike the rock where the Lord did not command you to! Where is your curse on Vladimir Putin, killing thousands every day? Or on gross misadministration of Nigeria leading to deaths and shattered destinies ?? Oga, please put energy into the right thing”.
