Speaking in a viral video shared on social media, the American lady stated, “First of all, I would like to visit Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. I don’t know enough about Nigeria; there is not much information.

When asked which African teams she will be supporting at the World Cup, the American lady added, “ First is Ghana, I love their soccer team and like the way they celebrate goals and South Africa, they will be playing Mexico ad I have to support them”.

“It is from what I have seen from IShowSpeed’s stream, it just looks like the people are so welcoming, the food, the culture, it looks like a welcoming environment”.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the video stated, “YESSS! This is what Ghana does best: warm hearts, banging food, rich culture, and vibes that hit different!

IShowSpeed’s livestream showed the world the real Ghana, and now more people like this American sis wanna come experience it.

“Yet we are complaining what Ishowspeed stream done for us, oh Ghanaians, when will we change?”, one more X user added.

“But madam journalist thinks it’s of no importance”, another netizen added.

Her video comes at a time Ghanaians have been divided following GHOne TV host Lily Mohamed’s outburst over the Minister of Foreign Affairs issuing a Ghanaian passport to American streamer IShowSpeed.

However, Famous Ghanaian actor and Producer known for his role in Kejetia and Makola series, Louis Lamis, has schooled GHOne TV host Lily Mohamed following her outburst over the Minister of Foreign Affairs issuing a Ghanaian passport to American streamer IShowSpeed.

According to Louis Lamis, following the GHOne host generalisation saying Ghanaians are not serious, he had to respond and give her some education.

The Ghanaian actor and Producer added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs did nothing wrong by deciding to grant IShowSpeed a Ghanaian passport argueing with the size of the streamer’s global following.

He highlighted that IshowSpeed YouTube subscribers alone stand at 50 million, which is bigger than the whole of Ghana’s population.

Louis Lamis added that even if all the media houses put together during their peak programming, they would be nowhere close to IshowSpeed aruging that his video about Ghana has generated over 4 million views.

Speaking in a self-recorded video, Louis Lamis explained, “If you don’t know what this gentleman has done for Ghana, just a few years ago, we were paying millions of dollars to advertise on CNN. This young man has come to our country to freely advertise Ghana’s sites. He came to sell an experience. So when you ask what he has added to the GDP of the country, this is what he has done for us.

“He has harvested the next generation of investors, the next generation of tourists, and the next generation of politicians to fall in love with Ghana. If you are a media person or a journalist and you want to go on a rant like this, it is always prudent and wise to do thorough research about the impact before questioning it,” he said.

He added, “Do thorough research about the impact if you’re going to insult a strategic minister who believes this is a good opportunity. We have someone who tells us that 50 per cent of himself is from Ghana. He is a 50 per cent Ghanaian. Now, this guy is an ambassador, a free one. He is an institution when it comes to the attention economy, the new gold. So, ignorance once again.

“TV is dying, if you don’t know. Radio is dying. The space you are occupying is dying. The new space is where this guy belongs, and he is an institution. This is a shame to anyone with such myopic thinking. This is shameful and unfortunate,” he added.
