The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of five suspects in connection with a robbery attack in Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region.
According to the Police, the robbery took place in December 2025.
The suspects are said to have simultaneously attacked the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and the Asutifi Rural Bank area at Nkaseim.
During the attack, they made away with two AK47 rifles, stole some cash amounts from the bank, GHC14,000.00 from a cocoa buying company, and GHC12,000.00 from the gold buying company.
The suspects have also been accused of shooting and injuring an employee of the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested five suspects in connection with a robbery attack that took place in December 2025 at Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region.
On 2nd December 2025, the suspects, together with other accomplices armed with weapons, blocked the Goaso-Tepa road and simultaneously attacked the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and the Asutifi Rural Bank area at Nkaseim.
During the attack, the assailants made away with two AK47 rifles, stole some cash amounts from the bank, Fourteen Thousand Cedis (GHC14,000.00) from the cocoa buying company, and Twelve thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC12,000.00) from the gold buying company.
They also shot and injured an employee of the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company”.
In related news, the Ghana Police Service Volta North Regional Police Command has arrested two persons over drug trafficking.
The suspects were arrested for allegedly trafficking substances suspected to be narcotic drugs in the Volta Region.
Etornam Vumadzi, a driver, and Emmanuel Komlagah have been identified as the suspects.
According to the Police, the two were arrested on Friday, January 30, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation.
Details from the Police highlighted that the suspects were intercepted while transporting the suspected narcotic substances from Godenu towards Togo in a Toyota minibus with registration number GT-6592-19.
The Police statement revealed that a third party, identified only as Joseph, contacted the police team by phone and attempted to offer a bribe of GH¢150,000 and also offered an upfront bribe of GH¢32,000, but was rejected by the Police officers.
Additionally, the police statement added that a search conducted on the vehicle led to the retrieval of 18 sacks with each sack containing 36 yellow oval parcels, bringing the total to 648 parcels of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs.
