Prophet Kofi Oduro, the founder of the Alabaster International Ministry, has told fellow Ghanaian pastors to stop using the pulpit for political nonsense.
According to Kofi Oduro, the church has souls to win and God to glorify.
He added that the Church must focus on spiritual matters rather than partisan politics.
Speaking during his sermon on February 1, 2026, Prophet Oduro stated, “Let’s stop this nonsense of helping these politicians. We have a gospel to preach. We have souls to win. We have a Christ to glorify. Let’s not use the pulpit for political nonsense. We have a Christ to glorify”.
The man of God further described some politicians as disrespectful to God, very promiscuous, very adulterous.
“Most of these politicians are very disrespectful to God, very promiscuous, very adulterous, and most of them don’t care about God. Why do we have to care about them and give them so much attention? We have a whole Bible here to preach open the word and preach the word, leave these uncircumcised people. The pulpit is not for political nonsense,” he said.
His remarks follow Prophet ElBernard, who on many occasions boldly declared Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as the winner of the NPP primaries, but his prophecy did not come to pass.
Some netizens reacting to Prophet Kofi Oduro’s remarks stated, “You’re very right Prophet. Some have become political Prophets and don’t do their primary assignments. Teach the Word, pray for the nation and lead people well”.
Another netizen added, “Herh this man eh. He’s always talking about social issues during Sunday services with insults in his preaching even though he doesn’t respect his church audience. Today this is what he’s saying? Smha”.
One more X user added, “After he used the same medium to get his brother’s political party elected? Interesting”.
Another Ghanaian added, “I agree with him. It is now becoming a competition among the prophets. Who saw it and prophesied it first or second? Or met them to confirm. Winning souls for Christ should be the focus before any other thing”.
One more netizen stated, “Perfectly said. Anyone who has an issue with this is a moron. The pulpit is not for political nonsense, like the so-called man of God who prophesied that Kennedy would win, is literally insinuating that God lied, such blasphemous, demonic possessed people called pastors”.
Also, Prophet Kofi Oduro, following a viral video in which he pleaded with Ghanaians to cut Prophet Bernard ElBernard some slack following his failed prophecy.
In a viral video, Prophet Kofi Oduro appealed to the public to show mercy to Prophet ElBernard after his prophecy that Kennedy Agyapong would win the NPP primaries failed to materialise.
According to Prophet Kofi Oduro, Prophet ElBernard is a genuine man of God.
