A 19-year-old Nkwatia SHS final-year student has been allegedly butchered by a Church security guard.

Reports suggest the Nkwatia SHS final-year student identified as Opoku was allegedly attacked with a cutlass by a security guard.

The security guard has been identified as Yaw Donkor of the Arena of Love Church, Nkawkaw.

According to the information gathered, the Nkwatia SHS final-year student, Opoku, is receiving treatment at Koforidua Regional Hospital.

Reports further suggest that Yaw Donkor has been arrested.

It is yet to be known the exact cause of the incident that led to the Church security guard butchering the student with a cutlass.

In a news shared by GHOne TV on X read, “19-year-old Nkwatia SHS final-year student, Opoku, is receiving treatment at Koforidua Regional Hospital after he was allegedly attacked with a cutlass by a security guard at the Arena of Love Church, Nkawkaw.

The suspect, Yaw Donkor, has been arrested”.

In other news, a Spiritualist identified as Horlali Alatusa has been busted for allegedly murdering a woman believed to be his girlfriend.

Reports suggest the heinous crime occurred in Bentum in the Awutu Senya District of the Central Region.

According to reports, the Spiritualist was arrested following a complaint from another farmer about a terrible stench coming from his farmland.

The information gathered from citinews read, “Even though some members of the community marched the suspect to the farm on Tuesday, March 10, they could not find the body of the deceased after digging a trench that was initially dug by the suspect.

However, the residents reported the matter to the police after sighting some clots of blood in the area that was dug.

Upon further interrogation, the suspect confessed to the police and led a team of officers to where he had kept the body of the deceased”.

Reports suggest the remains of the unidentified woman had her head, both legs and womanhood mutilated.

Also, community members have alleged that the murder was committed for ritual purposes since the suspect, Spiritualist Horlali, is well known to have inherited his father’s deities.

Some eyewitnesses detailed that they had only seen the deceased with the suspect in the community last Sunday, but could not see her again, which raised their suspicions of her possible murder.

The irate members of the community, following the discovery of the dead body, have since demolished the suspect’s residence.

Meanwhile, the remains of the woman have since been conveyed by police, with the suspect remaining in custody.
