Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, a former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Policy Adviser for Political Affairs at the Office of the Vice President, has announced the passing of his father.
According to Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, his father, Opanin Edward Kwaben Ofosu-Ampofo, died in the early hours of Sunday, April 5, 2026.
The NDC’s former Chairman detailed that his late father passed away peacefully.
He also described him as a man of great dignity, wisdom, and quiet strength who lived a life marked by integrity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.
In a post shared via Facebook, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo wrote, “It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that I announce the passing of my beloved father, Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo. He passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, 5th April 2026.
The late Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo was a man of great dignity, wisdom, and quiet strength. He lived a life marked by integrity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. His values and guidance were instrumental in shaping the lives and character of his sons, daughters, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace”.
He further added, “Details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course”.
