Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah-Quaye (RNAQ), have been called out for flaunting his private Jet, luxury car fleets while her ex-wife ferries their kids in old Daewoo Matiz.

In a viral video that has surface on social media the ex-wife of Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah-Quaye, Mrs Joana Quaye was shown picking up their kids in an old Daewoo Matiz amids divorce alimony battle.

In the alleged viral video, two kids were captured closing the boot of the Daewoo Matiz and later proceeded to take their seat in the vehicle.

The brouhaha follows, RNAQ who have been locked up in a bitter divorce alimony battle with ex-wife Joana.

The information gathered suggests that RNAQ has been locked up in a bitter divorce case with Joana Quaye for the past four years.

Mrs Joana Quaye was married to Richard Nii Armah-Quaye for sixteen (16) years and has three (3) children with him.

The High Court presided over by Justice Kofi Dorgu on 20th January, 2026, in his final orders despite evidence showing that Richard Nii Armah Quaye established his famous company, Quick Credit & Investment Micro-Credit Limited (renamed Bills Micro Credit Limited) with Joana Quaye as shareholders, out of which RNAQ built his wealth and established numerous other companies, the judge granted to the wife only one-third share of a house at Dansoman, GHC300,000 as financial provision and GHC5,000 to be paid by RNAQ each month for the upkeep of all the three children.

Mrs Quaye cited that all the properties owned by RNAQ, including houses at Trassacco Estate, East Legon and other rich neighbourhoods in Accra, a Rolls-Royce car, Bentley, Range Rover and other luxurious vehicles and companies were all acquired by RNAQ after their.

Joana Quaye has since hired prominent Accra-based law firm, Dame & Partners, as her new lawyers to pursue an appeal against the award following the court orders in what she described as “being given a raw deal”.

RNAQ touts himself as a billionaire and regularly gives out expensive gifts to the public, like cars, gold, etc. He lives in a Trassacco Estates house acquired during his marriage to Joana Quaye with Ghanaian socialite, Mona Montrage, popularly known as Hajia For Real. The plush parties he holds on various occasions and his generally luxurious lifestyle are matters of public record.

On his 40th birthday on Friday, March 21, 2025, RNAQ announced the purchase of a Bugatti Chiron Sport; the estimated cost was around $3 million and also a private jet.

Richard Nii Armah-Quaye also threw a lavish birthday party, which caught the attention of Ghanaians and the World.

Reports suggested his attire alone exceeded $350,000, including a Richard Mille Declutachable Rose Gold watch valued at over $323,000. Sources indicate his suit cost $10,000, shoes $2,000, and stylist fees $4,000.

Meanwhile, RNAQ was in the news lately after he revealed that his wealth is so large that he can’t even spend 2% of it.

According to Richard Nii Armah Quaye, he used to spend about 20% of his income, and now he cannot even he used to spend about 20% of his wealth.

Speaking in a video shared on X, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, while delivering a speech, stated, “As you continue to grow, your income begins to increase, so the 20% will also continue to increase for you. As I speak to you now, I am still spending below 20% of my income”.

“In fact, looking at where I am in life and where I started, I was around the 20% mark. But as you move forward and your worth becomes bigger, now I take about 2% of my worth, and I can’t even spend it,” he added.

In 2026, he marked his birthday with a large-scale gold tablet giveaway, selecting 1,000 followers to receive the investment asset.
