Salifu Adam Braimah, a former Savannah Regional Minister

Salifu Adam Braimah, a former Regional Minister and former Member of Parliament for Salaga South, has died.

According to reports, Salifu Adam Braimah died after a short illness.

Reports suggest he died at the University of Ghana Hospital.

The family shared the notice with Citi News on Sunday, April 11, describing him as a brother and uncle popularly known as “Uncle Sally”.

They further disclosed that arrangements are underway to transport his body to Salaga for burial.

“With a heavy heart, I announce the demise of our brother, Uncle Sally and former minister of the Savannah Region. The sad event occurred at the University of Ghana Hospital after a short illness. Arrangements are underway to convey the corpse to Salaga for burial. May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus,” the notice said.

The late Salifu Adam Braimah was a Ghanaian politician and a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

He represented the Salaga South Constituency in the Northern Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
