Dr Stephen Amoah, popularly known as Sticka, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, has said politics has become an enterprise.

According to Dr Stephen Amoah, from his observations, both the NPP and the incumbent NDC are incapable of transforming Ghana into a developed nation.

He asserted that he is not convinced that even 10% of politicians, whether NDC or NPP, are genuinely interested in developing the country.

Dr Stephen Amoah noted that many politicians are driven more by personal gain, seeking to afford their own homes, cars, and taking women to Dubai.

Speaking in an interview on Angel FM, Stephen Amoah stated, “Politics has become an enterprise. From my observation, in my opinion, I’m not convinced that even 10% of politicians, whether NDC or NPP, are genuinely interested in developing the country; many are driven more by personal gain, seeking to afford their own homes, cars, and taking women to Dubai”.

Are you sure NPP and NDC know the number of street children in Ghana? Citizens don’t look at some things. Let me ask you the two parties do they have any research institutions that look into Ghana’s problem?

I am NPP. To me, NPP is better than the NDC, but the two have problems. NPP is better than NDC in terms of our social issues for Ghanaians, but for almost 35 years are we been solving our problems? We don’t even know the number of street children in Ghana; we haven’t had any research institution for about 35 years or 40 years to look into our problems of unemployment, cedi, corruption”.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the NPP MP’s shocking revelation stated, “People are attacking the personality that’s fine, but ignoring the truth is a major problem. If after 20 years we don’t have stable electricity, then it means none of these parties cares. That is what we need to look at and think about. Hhhmmm, only Nkrumah cared”.

One netizen added, “Make he kommot there plus ein four by one hundred liked HEAD.

He thinks he’s smart aa ma.

Wasn’t he the one crying about rescuing the country prior to the 2016 elections? What happened after they got the chance to lead this country?

He turned into Bruce Lee at some point and even told us they were going to pass the E-levy whether we liked it or not.

Ne kwasia sei”.

An X user added, “It takes only a patriotic citizen to reason with him and find details and solutions to his submission. But it’s long overdue provided his years in parliament. Anyway, nothing is late, we can still do it and get there.

People are in politics today for their selfish reasons”.

“When individuals are in government, they are completely imprisoned by the status quo. However, he is now out of confinement to spill and rant as much as he can”, a netizen noted.

One more X user wrote, “You cried on a show. We should think about the poor, we should think about the poor, but when you had chanced. You told us the e-levy and betting tax were going to transform Ghanaians ‘ lives, and the NDC wants to oppose it. Forcefully passed this neck-choking bill on us. U’r e worse”.

“This is the hardest truth, but my sincere question is, when did he realise this? Because his power is not in power today?? And lastly, wasn’t he the same person who was crying in 2016 for Ghanaians to vote for them?? May God have mercy on us all”, a Ghanaian wrote.

One last X user added, “The politicians themselves know this, that they don’t have the ordinary citizens in mind. The ordinary Ghanaian who has no job and a decent place to live will come on social media and defend these people. Hmmm”.
