Okada' riders sexually harassing a minor

A viral video has surfaced of two Okada riders sexually harassing a minor who was hawking avocados.

Reports suggest the incident happened in Manso in the Ashanti Region.

In the viral video, the Okada riders were captured grabbing the girl’s skirt, holding her around the breast area, and also grabbing her waist towards their private area.

The girl in the video was shown to be visibly uncomfortable and distressed, repeatedly trying to free herself from the young men.

A voice was also heard in the video, encouraging the Okada riders to kiss the minor.

The news shared by EDHUB read, “Two men operating commercial motorbikes (Okada) sexually harassed an undêrage g!rl who was hawking avocados at Manso in the Ashanti Region”.

The video clearly depicted an inappropriate and non-consensual act by the Okada riders.

The viral video has since caused a fury on social media, with netizens calling for the arrest of the Okada riders.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the video expressed their displesure saying, stating, “The street belongs to everyone, but the safety of a child is the priority of the neighbourhood. Just imagine two grown men on a bike versus one little girl with a tray of fruit…the math of a coward.”

Another X user added, “@GhPoliceService pls arrest these guys. They probably have been harassing people. FOOLS LIKE THESE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE ROAMING FREELY. PLEASE”.

An X user quizzed, “So how did they feel after making a video of thisss and posting it afterwards???🤮😭 They wanted applause and appraisals from us??

These guys need to be arrested ASAP!!

This is sexual abuse”.

“And we expect the count to progress when generational clowns are a complete mistake by the women who brought these clowns into this world) They are still around in society instead of being in jail”, an X user added.

A netizen added, “I doubt Ghana police would do anything about this. I hardly see them act when it comes to matters like this. We’ve mentioned them a few times over issues of this nature, and they did nothing. Very alarming, but they gloss over it quite often. I pray they do something this time”.

“And that’s the biggest problem with our culture and how boys are socialised.

One X user also noted, “To them, there’s no harm; it’s just fun and games.

Even if she’s to report, a lot of people would tell her it was just a joke.

We need to do better, and public education has to increase”.

One more Ghanaian advised, “Women, please, when you spot things like this in your environment, speak up immediately.

Get the child away from these men.

I know you’ll be scared because Nigerians are enablers of paedophiles, groomers & rapists, they’ll tell you the rapists are just joking.

Pls don’t look away”.
