Prophet Johnson Adu Boahen the General Overseer of Christ Revival Baptist Church, has said men who earn GH¢3,000 a month do not qualify to be in a relationship.

According to Prophet Johnson Adu Boahen, a man who rents and washes clothes with their hands does not qualify to be in a relationship.

Speaking to his church congregation, Prophet Johnson Adu Boahen stated, “A man who earns GH¢3,000 a month and is in a relationship, do you want to live successful live? If you see Kwame Despite, Dr Kwaku Oteng and Ibrahim Mahama chasing women, you are also chasing them.

You don’t think of yourself, someone who rents. When you rent, is due you have pressure, and you are in a relationship, and wash clothes with their hands…”

Some Ghanaians reacting to Prophet Johnson Adu Boahen’s remarks stated, “These so-called men of God can be frustrating. God created all of us, so how do some claim big titles like pastor yet speak such nonsense from the pulpit? Is that what Jesus did when His Father sent Him to earth? Even in 2026, people still sit for hours listening to this and then pay tithes to them. It just doesn’t make sense”.

A netizen added, “This in a church, what happened to preaching Christ

There’s no love in the church; actually rather be at home because this is also peer pressure”.

“But he carry 300ghs tithe come aa you go take😂. Illiteracy really worries Ghana. Someone who probably feeds on these tithes is now attacking the tithe payer”, one X user noted.

One X user added, “No pastor is wiser than you.

If you don’t ignore them and take decisions for yourself, they will decide for you.

I won’t even waste my time coming and sitting there to listen to you.

I don’t care about heaven and hell

Ghana is already a hell”.

In related news, Rev Takal Mordecai of Petra International Church, Adenta, has boldly declared that any man who gives a GH¢10 or GH¢20 offering is not ready for marriage.

The Pastor told his female congregants not to marry any man who gives GH¢10 or GH¢20 as an offering to God.

He further highlighted that if the man can be stingy with God, what will he do with his female companion?

Speaking in a viral video shared on X by SIKAOFFICIAL, the Pastor stated, “Any boy who gives an offering of GH¢10 or GH¢20 is not ready for marriage, I am telling you. He is not ready; his finances are zero. Don’t marry him. If a man can be stingy with God, what of you?

Some of you don’t accept reality, a guy who cannot thank God, you think he would appreciate you? He does not appreciate God will he appreciate you? Who do you think you are?”

Nobody will say he loves you without giving to you, anything that loves you gifts to you, he does have? Gifts do not have to be expensive”.
