A Ghanaian lady has narrated how she and a friend were allegedly drugged during an outing at Republic in Osu.

In a Facebook post on May 13, 2026, the lady, identified on social media as Nkunim Abena Owusua, narrated, “My friends and I (me included, making 5) went to the Republic in Osu.

We were just chilling and vibing when 1 of them (Akosua) went to the bar to get ginger shots.

I realised she was taking too long, so I went in there to fetch her

Upon arrival, I saw her engaging in a conversation with 2 strangers (males – 1 on her left and the other on her right)

I walked in and said, ” Chalee, let’s go … we took the shots right at the bar and we’re back to join our friends

A few minutes later, Akosua started feeling nauseous and threw up … we realised there was a tablet/pill in her puke

She then called her bf to meet her up (she ended up in Nyaho that night)

Me on the other hand, am a naturally hyper girl and was so hyped

Friends around me thought – Oh, Saa na ote3

We left the Republic when Akosua left, and I went to Mood Bar with 2 of my male friends.

Apparently, I was dancing on tables and all.

Loud and extremely bubbly (my colleague bartenders there assumed I was just being my bubbly self)

I got a ride home, and I didn’t remember how I got home

The next morning, a client had asked her driver to pick up her food orders from me

A call woke me up n as soon as I opened the door for the driver, I PASSED OUT

The driver rushed me to the LAPAZ COMMUNITY HOSPITAL- Christian Village

Fortunately, my Doctor was on duty that morning (Dr Pascal), who instructed that I’m his patient n has never been to the hospital in this condition, so they rushed me to the emergency ward

That’s where it was confirmed I was drugged, and they started flushing my system

About 12 drips

So those MODAFUCKERS blaming these victims who have been drugged and se*ually assaulted by SoAfrican no and calling them “gold diggers*

Mo y3 nkwasiafour”.

She further added in another post, “This issue I posted earlier … I went to report ooo

It got complicated, and I let it slide

What I found out is ….

What some of these guys (the ones who were engaging my friends and the likes) do is

They go to lounges, clubs, pubs, parties, etc

Some are contracted by “Big Men” to bring them girls

Light Skinned, Dark Skinned, etc

So some of these girls end up not found (go missing)

They take videos and pictures of the girls unknowingly and send them to their “BIG MEN”, and they choose

Spike drinks with the girls (nice, nice girls) while engaging them in conversations, hoping you drink in their presence

When they see it take effect… they walk you out like you both are vibing and going home together

I think they thought my friend was alone that night until I walked in

It could have been worse, but we thank God for life!”

Her revelation follows the arrest of SoAfrican, a popular Ghanaian social media influencer, identified as Joshua Kojo Anane Boateng, who has been arrested for recording and sharing non-consensual intimate images of women.

His arrest follows a joint intelligence-led operation by the Cyber Crime Unit and the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

On Tuesday, May 12, the Director-General of the CID, Commissioner of Police Lydia Yaako Donkor, briefed the media and revealed that the suspect operated on the Telegram platform known as “VIP Sleep Fetish 2025”.

She disclosed that the suspect used alprazolam, known as Xanax, to drug unsuspecting female victims before sexually abusing them, adding that he later recorded the acts and shared the content online without their consent.

The CID boss detailed that the suspect also frequented nightclubs in 2025, where he allegedly sedated and sexually assaulted victims before disseminating their intimate images.

She disclosed that following his arrest, police retrieved several items, including two iPhones, a feature phone, a memory card, a Seagate external hard drive, a MacBook laptop, an iSafe device, and empty sachets believed to have contained alprazolam and midazolam.

She further added that the suspect has been arraigned before the court, while investigations are ongoing.
