Isaac Batsa, a member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been found dead.

According to reports, the NDC man has been identified as the Akuapem North Constituency Secretary.

Reports suggest that he was found dead in a hotel room at Amanokrom on May 18, 2026.

The news shared by SIKAOFFICIAL read, “The Akuapem North Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been thrown into mourning following reports that its constituency secretary, Isaac Batsa, was found dead in a hotel room at Amanokrom on Monday morning.

The incident has shocked party supporters and residents, with investigations underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death”.

Also, Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, on May 18, 2026, expressed shock following the passing of the party executive.

In a Facebook post he wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Isaac Batsa, the Akuapem North NDC Constituency Secretary, today. Though we belonged to different political parties, he rose above party lines and served both his party and the constituency diligently.

It is even harder to believe because our last interaction was just on Saturday.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, the constituency executives, regional executives and the entire NDC fraternity.

May his soul rest in peace”.

In other news, Salifu Adam Braimah, a former Regional Minister and former Member of Parliament for Salaga South, has died.

According to reports, Salifu Adam Braimah died after a short illness.

Reports suggest he died at the University of Ghana Hospital.

The family shared the notice with Citi News on Sunday, April 11, describing him as a brother and uncle popularly known as “Uncle Sally”.

They further disclosed that arrangements are underway to transport his body to Salaga for burial.

“With a heavy heart, I announce the demise of our brother, Uncle Sally and former minister of the Savannah Region. The sad event occurred at the University of Ghana Hospital after a short illness. Arrangements are underway to convey the corpse to Salaga for burial. May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus,” the notice said.

The late Salifu Adam Braimah was a Ghanaian politician and a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

He represented the Salaga South Constituency in the Northern Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
