Nana Yaa Jantuah disclosed that she has never seen dildos personally but only knows about them through television and her own reading.

Nana Yaa Jantuah noted that the devices are often described as complementary gadgets because they help keep partners together.

Speaking on UTV, Nana Yaa Jantuah argued, “Dildos help sustain marriages in Ghana; banning them could lead to the collapse of many marriages. I’ve not seen it personally before; I only see it on TV, and I’ve read a lot around it, and I have learnt that’s what sustains marriages”.

Some netizens reacting to Nana Yaa Jantuah’s remarks stated, “Hope her daughters and sons are using it in their marriages, and even she is using a dildo together with her husband’s d!ck. Foolish woman with low IQ”.

“She might mean a lot of women whose husbands are abroad or are most of the time absent or maybe long-distance relationships use them to satisfy their sexual desires whilst their partners are away. Not thinking for her, but I think that’s what she’s trying to say”, a netizen added.

One X user added, “If the survival of a marriage depends on a battery-operated device, then perhaps the problem isn’t the law. It’s the foundation of the marriage itself. Or is this a lived experience backed by evidence-based practice”.

“Women use these tools and want men to compete with a toy!

God will punish any female who uses these tools to put pressure on her husband.

MAY GOD PUNISH THEM AGAIN !”, one X user added.

In related news, Sam George, a co-sponsor of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025, has fired shots at the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, after he appealed for the reconsideration of the passed anti-LGBTQ+ Bill.

According to Sam George, Parliament is a House of rules and not a House of appeals.

He disclosed that the Speaker’s suggestion for a reconsideration of the bill is not supported by parliamentary procedure.

Sam George argued that the only role Parliament has now is to transmit the bill to the President, where the President has indicated he would want to scrutinise the bill.

Speaking to journalists at the 4th Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family, Sovereignty and Values, Sam George stated, “The Speaker has made an appeal. I have gone through the Standing Orders since I saw that appeal, and there is nothing in our Standing Orders for a rescission. When Parliament passes a bill, Parliament is functus officio.

“The only role Parliament has today is to transmit the bill to the President. When it goes to the President, the President has indicated he would want to scrutinise the bill. The Constitution spells out the steps the President can take,” he said.

“Parliament is a House of rules. Respectfully to Mr. Speaker, it is not a House of appeals. If there is no rule in the rule book that allows what is being sought, then we proceed by the rules we have,” he added.
