Paul Adom-Otchere, a seasoned Ghanaian broadcaster, has caused a stir after he confidently quoted a wrong Bible verse on Live TV.
On his show, Paul Adom-Otchere incorrectly quoted a Bible verse during his “Good Evening Ghana” programme, which has sparked massive reactions online.
In the viral video, Paul Adom-Otchere stated, “Wontumi goes to jail for 20 years, what shall we say to these things? If you read Romans 30:31, I believe it says, ‘What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’” he said.
It must be noted that there is no Bible verse Romans 30:31 as the Book of Romans has only 16 chapters.
Although Paul Adom-Otchere quoted the wrong he appeared to have intended to quote Romans 8:31, which says, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
A netizen who posted the video urged Paul Adom-Otchere to double-check his Bible references before quoting them, saying, “😂😂😂 Dear Paul Adom-Otchere, there’s no Romans 30:31 in the Bible ooo! 😄📖

Paul Adom-Otchere’s video has since triggered widespread reactions on social media, with many netizens saying, “I’m even shocked how he came out with that chapter “.
A netizen added, “His confidence level and facial expression had me laughing the whole time. 😂 But don’t you think he should have cross-checked the scripture before quoting it, especially on national television? Accuracy matters, particularly when you’re speaking to such a large audience”.
