Alhaji Masawudu clarified that the woman had been in a relationship with the musician Fancy Gadam and that they had been separated before he met her.

The NPP stressed that Fancy Gadam had publicly announced the end of his relationship with the woman before he became involved with her.

Speaking in an interview shared on social media, Alhaji Masawudu stated, “Fancy Gadam and I do not have any problem. I met him once in a restaurant in Accra. People are accusing me of being a wife snatcher, but that is not true. I do not know whether it is a crime to propose to a woman who was previously in a relationship that has ended. They were no longer together. Even Fancy Gadam publicly stated that he was no longer with the lady”.

Alhaji Masawudu also rejected claims that he had been dating the woman while she was still in a relationship with Fancy Gadam.

Chairman Buga Buga claimed he met the woman only about two months ago and subsequently married her through the appropriate traditional and legal processes.

“As a man of my status, I would not just date a woman casually. After knowing her for about two months, I married her, and she is now my second wife,” he claimed.

In other news, Alhaji Masawudu, has launched a scathing attack on Dr Mustapha Hamid, former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).

According to Alhaji Masawudu Mustapha, Hamid was so arrogant during his tenure as the National Petroleum Authority boss, adding that the National executives had to report to him.

He disclosed that Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid never answered calls from the party’s national executives.

Speaking on Atinka TV, Alhaji Masawudu stated, “Someone like Mustapha Hamid was so arrogant. We even had to report him; he has been a national officer, youth organiser, became a Zongo Minister and even CEO of NPA.

He should have been the one to respect the party’s national executives. Could you believe nobody in the National office, the ten of us can call Mustapha Hamid for him to answer the call. Our minister did not give us the respect that they were supposed to give us as National officers ”.

He added, “We believe some of them stayed in their positions for too long, so they became convinced they could not be removed. As a result, they chose to do what pleased them instead of what would benefit the party. That is why the General Secretary came out to say that ministers who are tired should resign”.
