A viral video has surfaced of a husband and some residents reportedly assaulting a man after allegedly catching him having an affair with the man’s wife.
In the viral video shared on X, the man was seen being assaulted by the residents before he was later tied to a pillar with a rope.
The viral video captured a man speaking in the background who claimed to be the husband of the woman the victim allegedly had the affair with.
The man could be heard demanding a confession, saying, “Say it to the hearing of everyone that you had intimacy with my wife”.
One of the residents also asked the victim if he was a teacher, to which he answered yes.
“You are a teacher and so, what! Who should marry a woman for you to be having an affair with in their own matrimonial home?” an angry resident stated.
The victim, however, could be heard repeatedly denying that he didn’t know the woman was married.
However, despite his plea, the flogging continued.
Some netizens reacting to the video stated, “@GhPoliceService similar thing to the Kumasi case that they lynch the musician. Please use these idiots to set an example. Adultery is not a crime in Ghana for people to use these barbaric methods on others. Please prosecute them to the hilt”.
One X user added, “They need to be arrested because I’m not sure the girl told him she was married 🥹 And why beating one person whiles its two people who committed the sin ?”
A netizen added, “Ghanaians should stop these nonsense things they’ve been doing. So what if what the guy is saying is true that he doesn’t have a clue about the woman having a wife… Why won’t you guys can the girl or question her, y’all are maltreating the man. Ghana police arrest them”.
An X user added, “Seeing a “woman/mother” beating a man even at the point that she was stopped but still continued. Wow, I am not supporting the guy, but why don’t they call the woman also”.

One last X user added, “This is your spouse that promised to stay loyal to you, why fault the man? Unless he’s your friend, he did nothing wrong! Especially if he didn’t know she was married”.
Additionally, an X user added, “So he pulled a gun on the woman and had an affair with her abi? Foolish men who don’t know their worth. The @GhPoliceService will deal with you people”.
