Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina, has collapsed while delivering a speech at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
He was speaking about his personal experiences, leadership, and commitment to public service when he suddenly appeared to lose consciousness on stage.
“I respectfully submit that if you want to be a good leader, let service be your hallmark,” he said moments before he paused and appeared to collapse.
Some person at the event speedily rushed to the stage to assist with the two people holding on to the legislator to prevent him from falling. The MP briefly appeared to regain consciousness and seemed poised to continue his speech.
However, he soon began to slump again.
Francis-Xavier Sosu was subsequently carried him off the stage as some people could be heard expressing shock over the incident.
Meanwhile, the circumstances surrounding the incident and Francis-Xavier Sosu’s current condition were not immediately clear.
