Hopeson Adorye, a former Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of Airports under the administration of former President Akufo-Addo has claimed that Ghana’s security agencies have tracked down the whereabouts of Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as “Ghana Jollof.”

According to him, Ghana Jollof can no longer evade the security agencies and will soon be arrested and brought back to Ghana.

Hopeson Adorye further revealed that the Ghana Jollof’s Facebook account has been disabled by UK authorities. 

The United party man further alleged that some New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials and Members of Parliament are allegedly supporting Ghana Jollof financially.

Hopeson Adorye disclosed that the transactions are traceable and could be presented as evidence in court against those involved.

Speaking in an interview on TVXYZ on September 29, 2026, Hopeson  Adorye stated, “Take note from today that Ghana Jollof doesn’t have anywhere to run to anymore. Where she stays, where she works, and everything about her is known now”.

Hopeson  Adorye further questioned why the security agencies were unable to establish Ghana Jollof’s identity before the arrest of Salomey Awity.

He further claimed, “When she was leaving the airport for the UK, her check-in picture and video are there, including her three children. When she was boarding the flight, everything was captured”.

“We know where she works now and people have gone there to verify and she is the one. I can assure the whole nation that she has been tracked and she will be brought soon,” Adorye stated.

Meanwhile, Ghana Jollof, has challenged the Ghanaian government to extradite her from the United Kingdom following her declaration as wanted by the Ghana Police Service.

According to her, she does not believe the government can secure her extradition.

Reacting to the Police wanted police notice for Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, the woman popularly known as ‘Ghana Jollof’ claimed that there is no way the UK government would extradite her to Ghana.

Speaking in an interview on Class News, Ghana Jollof stated, “I dare the government of Ghana that if they can use extradition to bring me from the country that I reside in to Ghana, they can’t,” she said.

“They can’t because there is no law that will allow them to extradite me.”

“Unless I decide to come myself because the laws that we use for extradition, they have destroyed it. And when it’s political persecution, no government will allow you”.

The development follows the controversial TikToker, “Ghana Jollof”, who has been declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service over insults and hateful speech.

According to the Police, Ghana Jollof may currently be hiding in the United Kingdom.

The Police is appealing to members of the public who may have information on her whereabouts to assist with her identification and arrest.

The Police disclosed that anyone with information on Barbara Asantewaa Kodua’s whereabouts is encouraged to report to the nearest police station or contact the Police on 0500100010.

The police disclosed that they have been monitoring a TikTok account under the name “Ghana Jollof”, which the accused person used to issue offensive and inciting comments as well as publish false news likely to cause fear and alarm.

In one of her videos, shared by the police, she is heard claiming that there was an attempted coup d’état because President John Dramani Mahama has infuriated some soldiers with his actions.

Providing more updates, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Lydia Yaako Donkor, briefing the nation in a press conference on September 18, 2026, stated, “As part of continuous efforts to clamp down on illicit online activities, the Ghana Police Service has, for some time now, observed a TikTok account under the name Ghana Jollof which has been used to issue offensive and inciting comments as well as to publish false news which is likely to cause fear and alarm. Police intelligence revealed the identity of the account owner to be Babara Asantewaa Kodua, believed to be domiciled in the United Kingdom.

“Over a period of time, Babara Asantewaa Kodua has used her social media platform to produce and publish videos containing offensive and inciting statements with the potential to provoke violence… In one of the videos under investigation, the suspect, Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, falsely made the claim that there was a near coup d’état in the Jubilee House, amongst other things”.
