A firefighter of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has alleged that Prophet Roja could be behind the recent fire outbreaks in Ghana.

In an old video which resurfaced on social media following a significant fire outbreak at Avenor in Accra’s North Industrial Area on Thursday, October 1, 2026, Prophet Roja disclosed that he spoke of powerful demonic forces emerging from the sea and linked their arrival to possible fire outbreaks and road accidents.

The man of God subsequently urged drivers and members of the public to exercise caution and take deliberate steps to protect themselves from harm.

However, according to the GNFS Officer, Prophet Roja could have arranged for fires to be set to prove his prophecy and attract more members to his church.

The GNFS Officer argued that some prophets could use such incidents to attract followers.

Speaking in the video shared on X, the GNFS officer stated, “Most prophets are into business to attract more church members. Prophet Roja could be behind the fire incidents to make his October prophecy come true. If this were another country, he would have been arrested and investigated by now.”

Some netizens reacting to the GNFS Officer claims stated, “In a proper country, whoever the prophet is woulda been rich, and the Fire Service ass sued out of their last water hose cuz this is stupid, a service man cannot sit behind a phone and accuse someone”.

One X user added, “If you think he is lying,  ask a police officer! What they see at night no pastor or prophet has ever predicted; one never …..moagyimie dodo na religion is destroying your senses in this country. Early 2000s, Mensah Otabil told us the world was coming to an end; we are still here”.

A netizen added, “You think because of the awareness and alert he gave to the nation, so every prophet in the country is false? Masa, what is the main reason why u are in the uniform, just to work so focused and work as an officer”.

One last X user added, “You haven’t been able to identify the cause of the fire yet and you’re there claiming the one who predicted it before it happened should be arrested and investigated. Wei… he did his own because he claims to be a prophet. Do your own. Mmmtttwwww”

Meanwhile, reports suggest the North Industrial Area fire in the early hours of Thursday, October 1, 2026, has reportedly claimed the lives of two people.

Reports suggest the fire swept through the North Industrial Area branch of Duraplast Ghana in Accra.

According to Citi News, among those feared dead is a two-week-old baby.

However, the identities of the victims and the circumstances surrounding their deaths had not been officially confirmed.

Eyewitness reports alleged that the fire was triggered by an exploding gas cylinder.

The fire occurred within the industrial enclave, where thick smoke and flames were seen emerging from the affected area.

An eyewitness named Mohammed revealed that a woman had been cooking for her children before leaving the gas cylinder in the care of one of them.

The eyewitness alleged that the child subsequently increased the gas, causing the cylinder to explode, which triggered the fire.

“Some woman was cooking for her children, and she went out, and one of the children increased it, and then the cylinder exploded,” the eyewitness stated.

The North Industrial Area fire reportedly spread rapidly as thick smoke engulfed the surrounding area.
