Nana Aba Anamoah, a Ghanaian media personality, has criticised individuals making insensitive comments about the death of 15-year-old Ghanaian boy Javits Frimpong.
The Ghanaian media personality urged the public to show compassion towards the grieving family.
Nana Aba expressed disappointment over the manner in which some individuals are using the incident to make hurtful remarks and judge the decisions of the family.
According to Nana Aba, people must learn to remain silent when they have nothing meaningful or sensible to contribute to sensitive conversations.
She argues that people have become sadists who enjoy seeing others suffer.
Speaking on Starr FM on November 2, 2026, Nana Aba stated, “Sometimes, you just need to keep quiet. Keep quiet if you have nothing to say. If you don’t have anything sensible to add to the conversation, just shut up. People have become sadists. We enjoy seeing others suffer, and it gives some people a certain kind of excitement”.
“It’s interesting how the same people sit down and call someone a witch. No, you are the witch! If someone’s problems, grief or misfortune make you happy, then you are at the centre of it. You are evil; you are the most evil person.”
She added, “We need to learn to be compassionate. If you have nothing meaningful to contribute, keep quiet. I have been deeply affected by this because losing a child like that is one of the most difficult experiences, especially when the child is around that age”.
“How many of these people wouldn’t want to be taken out of Ghana to the United States at that age? You don’t get to decide for anybody what they should use their resources for,” she added.
Her comment follows the 15-year-old Ghanaian boy, identified as Javits Frimpong, who was shot dead in the Bronx, New York, on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
According to reports, Javits Frimpong was shot near the intersection of Crotona Place and East 171st Street shortly before 9:30 a.m. while reportedly on his way to school.
The information gathered suggests the teenager was shot in the abdomen and was found in and out of consciousness.
Police are searching for three male suspects, but no arrests have been made. The motive remains unclear.
Reports suggest the suspects, who were last seen wearing black clothing, were fleeing down Fulton Avenue, with two of them wearing surgical masks.
Meanwhile, Surveillance video shows a person fleeing the scene who matched a description released by police.
The video showed someone wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and a mask.
According to authorities, the victim ran about a block after being shot before collapsing. He later died at a hospital.
Meanwhile, Cardi B, an American rapper, has weighed in on the killing of 15-year-old Ghanaian student Javits Frimpong.
According to Cardi B, the Javits Frimpong tragedy is the reason she would never raise a child in the Bronx or in parts of New York.
In a social media post, Cardi B, who grew up in the Bronx, said she would not raise a child in the neighbourhoods she named, or in the city’s public schools.
Speaking in the viral video, Cardi B stated, “Jarvis is the reason why I would never raise a kid in the Bronx, Harlem, Washington Heights. I will never raise a kid in a New York public school. I will never raise a kid in the hood. Let me tell you why. It is a game of survival to live in those places”.
“Even the kids that killed that boy, what is wrong with you? How do you wake up in the morning and say ‘today is a good day to kill someone who has not wronged or attacked me’?” she asked.
She further advised, “If you are in New York and you want to have kids, move out because the kids there are so nasty,” she said.
