Did 17-year-old Pascaline Acheampong died because of her father?

NewsDid 17-year-old Pascaline Acheampong died because of her father?

The CEO of Crime Check Foundation, Mr Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, has alleged that 17-year-old Pascaline Acheampong died because of her father.

Mr Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng claimed the young girl died as a result of the father coming between her relationship with her boyfriend.

CEO, Crime Check Foundation narrated saying, “Pascaline Acheampong, I am sure her age is between 16 and 17. She is a very nice child at the Senior High School. She killed herself because her father was bothering her.

The father went to the school to look for the daughter, but they said she had taken an exeat and left for the house. Later, the father realised the daughter was not yet home and was at the boyfriend’s place”.

He added, “The girl said If you won’t allow me to be with my boyfriend and you keep bothering me, I will consume poison. ‘ As we speak, Pascaline is dead, believing that her happiness with the boy, the dad must not come between them”.

However, the father of Pascaline Acheampong, a student of Offinso Namong SHS, has rubbished rumours about her daughter’s cause of death.

Reports suggest Pascaline reportedly signed an exeat from her school in Offinso to seek treatment at home because she was unwell. She rather went to camp with her alleged boyfriend.

According to her father, all attempts to get information about her location proved futile.

Speaking in an interview, the father stated, “When I called my daughter, she confirmed that she had taken the exeat but was camping with a friend. I think she thought I would be mad at her, so she refused to give me the location. So I had to find my own way of locating her”.

We arrested almost everyone at the house because we suspect it was an abduction. The landlord is on the run”, he added.

Reports suggest Pascaline died at the hospital after contracting severe malaria and not poisoning, as it was first claimed.

Her father, in a recent interview, maintained that a post-mortem was yet to be conducted to confirm what claimed her daughter’s life.

However, he claimed that the condition of the house her daughter was allegedly camping in was unsanitary and infested with mosquitoes.

The father of Pascaline Acheampong’s account contradicts earlier rumours which have gone viral that Pascaline harmed herself.

The rumours suggested that the young girl committed the act after her father allegedly got the police to arrest her boyfriend.

Speaking in his recent interview, Pascaline’s father refuted claims that he maltreated her daughter, causing her to take her life.

Meanwhile, the alleged boyfriend of Pascaline, setting the records straight, stated he was just a friend of Pascaline and not her lover.

In a viral video captioned “I am not Pascaline’s boyfriend, we are just friends,”

The boy, who looked sad, took exception to claims that he was having an affair with the 17-year-old SHS student.

According to him, the last post Pascaline had made on her WhatsApp seemed to suggest that all was not well.

“She told me she was going to speak to me about it later on, and that was it. That was the conversation we had”.
