“I feel pity with disgust” – Trasacco Boss reacts to Metro TV staff scrambling for Medikal’s tossed cash

Entertainment“I feel pity with disgust” - Trasacco Boss reacts to Metro TV staff scrambling for Medikal’s tossed cash

Massimiliano Colasuonno Taricone, the Consul of Ghana to Italy and Trasacco boss, has reacted to a viral video of Metro TV staff scrambling for cash tossed by Ghanaian musician Samuel Adu Frimpong, commonly known as Medikal.

In a viral video shared on social media, Medikal was captured leaving the premises of Metro TV in his luxury black car, where he sprayed money before leaving, leaving staff members of the TV station wildly scrambling for cash.

Reacting to the viral video, the Trasacco Boss stated he feels pity with disgust whenever he sees people tossing money to a crowd.

In a post in reaction to the video, he wrote, “I feel a deep sense of pity mixed with disgust whenever I see scenes like this”.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to his comments, saying, “I perfectly agree with you. It is so disrespectful and we must condemn it. I am sure if another person of a different colour, the issue of colonial mentality and slavery will be mentioned”.

“U Will definitely not understand cuz this is not ur culture….”, another netizen claimed.

One more netizen noted, “I agree with you one. Ghanaians are esuatra (over learners)! My people learnt this from Nigerians! In proper Ghanaian culture, when they are given handouts, they hide them. Not for public consumption. This here is alien”.

“Same. It’s so inhuman and stupid. There are about 15 people there. Whichever money you’d want to give them, nominate one person and tell him to share it equally. He could’ve even done it himself.

But no, throw it on the floor and let them scramble for it like animals”, another X user wrote.

Additionally, a netizen also added, “I remember my history class whenever I see someone spray money for the less privileged to pick up.

It happened during slavery, and to see some incredibly senseless artists repeat it bores me to bits”.

It will be recalled that last year, some social media users criticised rapper Medikal and Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale for spraying cash on the streets upon their return from the UK after they sold out the 2,800-capacity Indigo O2.

Medikal, on May 3, 2024, hosted the show and was joined by A-list Ghanaian artistes, including Sarkodie and Bisa Kdei.

Medikal and Shatta Wale arrived at Kotoka International Airport on May 14, 2024 and were greeted by throngs of fans and supporters.

In a video, the duo was seen clutching stacks of cash, climbing the roof of a car, and spraying the money on the excited fans and in a separate video, Medikal’s convoy stopped in the midst of traffic, and he sprayed cash onto the streets as excited hawkers scrambled for the notes.

His display, however, was not well received by many on social media, who proceeded to lambast Medikal and Shatta Wale.
