Bishop Daniel Obinim, the leader of the International Godway’s Church, in a throwback video, has confessed he does not possess any power to transform into an animal or fly.
Obinim, in the past, had previously claimed to be the spiritual President of the world and bragged about his unique spiritual abilities, including transforming into different forms, a claim he now renounces.
He stated, “When I enter the spiritual realm and I am hanging in the air with Jesus beside me, Ghana looks very smallish like a handkerchief. I can turn into a snake and bite you. Someone came for a consultation, and I told him I would visit him with my father, Jesus.
“When we were going, I turned into a dog, and Jesus transformed into a lion. The person was beating me with a stick, and the dog told him it was Obinim, and he stopped. Right after that, I turned into a human, and Jesus also transformed into his human nature.”
Speaking in a viral throwback video, Obinim stated, “If I remember my old videos, and which I claimed I could turn into a snake, Lion and Tiger, and I will be in church screaming, I am about to fly. Today, four, five years now, have you heard me saying those things again?
They are all mistakes on my part; however, that those not mean I did not have that power. I have the power to help others, but I don’t have the power to turn into an animal to commit evil.
Look at all the things I said in the past; forgive me, there was no wisdom in them”.
In related news, Legendary music producer Fredyma has recounted how Obinim came to his aid during one of the most difficult moments of his life.
According to him, staying with Obinim, he saw ‘big men’ in Ghana visiting the pastor for consultations.
Fredyma stated, “I went to hell, and I had to relocate to Obinim’s house. He had to house me in his place for three years, feeding me and paying my son’s fees and a whole lot of things. When I went to stay there, we are hypocrites, I saw a lot of the big men in Ghana coming there to consult him.
Yeah, and all the consultations that they did, it all went through. So, I don’t joke with him because he came through when I was at my lowest for three years and continued for three years.”
“He made me the sound engineer for his TV station. I had other confrontations with the other workers. Per my experience, they didn’t want me to be there. So, they sabotaged me.
The man saw it and said, ‘Okay, fine, Fred, you leave the job. I’ll still be paying.’ So, while I was still in the house, he was still paying me for three years until he had that issue with Kennedy Agyapong, and then it subsided,” he added.
