Irene Naa Torshie, the former Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), has told NPP delegates that the former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, will appeal more to Gen Z girls.
Naa Torshie quizzed the NPP delegates, if Kennedy Agyapong, a tall, nice man with a flat tummy, is placed side by side with Asiedu Nketia in an election, who would appeal more to Gen Z girls and more?
Speaking in a video shared on social media during his campaign events in the Central Region, Naa Torshie stated, “People are saying that if you bring Ken, we would vote for you. So, what do we have to do? For the Central Region, if you vote for someone else, people will laugh at you.
“I’m from the Greater Accra Region, and my people and I have decided that we are going to vote for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong… what about you?” she asked.
“Maybe there is something you might not like about him. But when Kennedy, the man that he is, stands — a tall, nice man with a flat tummy and American English — and you look at Asiedu Nketiah with his shoulder pad, who would Gen Z girls vote for during an election?” she quizzed.
Some netizens have reacted to the comments made by Irene Naa Torshie, saying, “Yes, we know that the NDC government is trying for the mother of Ghana, but we need a serious opposition party to keep the current government on track. But seeing these things happen is not good for the country.
NPP paaaa nie!!!Awurade Nana Nyankop)n in Ship Dealer’s voice!!! Npp agu!”.
“I wonder why these NPP guys talk like they have never been to school before. Campaign on ideas and policies, not these childish things”, one netizen added.
A netizen added, “Thank God for where NPP is heading.. It is my heartfelt prayer that it get worse than this, so the party will collapse.. For the sake of our generations to come, NPP must collapse and never resurrect again.. Amen”
“This is where the NPP always gets it wrong! It’s NOT about flat stomach and Gen-Z girls, but fortitude and foresight and the ability to build a country with sound economic foundations!”, one more X user added.
In related news, Kennedy Agyapong has cried out over Bryan Acheampong’s financial muscle in the NPP presidential race.
In an outburst on VOV Radio in the Hohoe Constituency, Ken Agyapong called on NPP delegates to reject money politics.
He stated, “When we were begging for five hundred Ghana cedis, where were they? When we didn’t have cars as late as May 2016, where were these rich people in the NPP? Those giving you money today will abandon you after the election.”
