The acting Boys’ Prefect of the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, identified only as Abass, has died.
According to reports, Abass died after falling from the top floor of the school’s administration block.
The information gathered suggests the tragic incident happened on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The Islamic SHS Boys’ prefect, after falling during school hours, drew the attention of students and staff who rushed to the scene.
School sources claim Abass had been struggling with suicidal thoughts for some time, but the report claims the administration was unaware of any such intentions.
Reports further suggest the family of Abass, including his mother and uncle, revealed Abass had previously hinted at harming himself, but they assumed he was playing around, leading to them not treating the issue seriously.
The deceased Abass was a Business student in his final year at the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi.
After falling from he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body has since been released to the family and buried according to Islamic teachings.
In related news, Prince Nkrumah, also known as Sir Skinny, an ICT teacher at Ansah Redeemed Basic School in Assin Fosu, has allegedly died by suicide.
According to reports, the ICT Teacher’s suicide is suspected to be over a broken heart.
The information gathered from sources says he took a weedicide after the woman he had supported through nursing school ended their relationship upon graduation.
Prince Nkrumah was found lifeless in his room after failing to report to school.
He was found dead with a note believed to be from him, reportedly asking his family for forgiveness.
