The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh, has boldly stated he strongly believes the former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will return to lead Ghana.
According to Frank Annoh Dompreh, if the so-called ‘dead sheep’ (John Mahama) could return to power after losing power, he firmly believes in God’s name, Dr Bawumia will also return to lead Ghana as president.
Speaking to NPP delegates during Dr Bawumia’s campaign tour in the Eastern Region, Annoh Dompreh, stated, “If the so-called ‘dead sheep’ could return and become president, and if Mahama could lose power and come back to lead again, then I believe former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can also return and become president”.
Also, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the minority Leader in Parliament, has told his fellow New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to take inspiration from the NDC for the party to win back power in 2028.
According to Afenyo-Markin, the NPP can take inspiration from the NDC, as no one thought President Mahama could ever become president again, adding that political comebacks are possible when the party members are united.
Afenyo-Markin noted that when the NDC was in disarray, it took Asiedu Nketiah, the Ahwois and others to put the NDC together, so there is hope for the NPP.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM on November 28, 2025, Afenyo-Markin stated, “Whoever thought John Mahama could be president again? Let us face the facts, it took Asiedu Nketiah to charge through the storm after Mahama lost by over one million votes in the 2016 elections. When the NDC was in disarray, when they had nobody, it took Asiedu Nketiah to put the party together”.
“NPP, don’t be sad. There is hope. Let us work together, and we can take inspiration from the NDC and win power,” he added.
Afenyo-Markin further begged all NPP members to put their anger against the former Akufo-Addo government aside and work together to win power.
He added, “Look, I am pleading with every NPP member: even if the government was not fair to you, put all your anger somewhere and let us work together to win”.
“It took Asiedu Nketiah, the Ahwois and others to put the NDC together. So, NPP, there is hope.”
Meanwhile, the Global InfoAnalytics latest poll has revealed that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and presidential candidate hopeful for the NPP, leads in thirteen out of the sixteen regions in Ghana.
The poll revealed Dr Bawumia continues to dominate the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
The Global InfoAnalytics revealed that the poll was conducted between 17th and 21st November 2025 among 3,500 delegates across all 16 regions.
The poll, however, shows that Dr Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong’s support has slightly declined since October.
Global InfoAnalytics’ likely voters’ model indicated that, “Dr Bawumia: 42.7%, Kennedy Agyapong: 17.7%, Dr Bryan Acheampong: 4.6%, Dr Yaw Adutwum: 0.3%, and Kwabena Adjei Agyapong: 0.3%”.
With 14.9% of delegates not disclosing their voting intentions, while 19.3% remain.
Also, committed voters, Dr Bawumia’s lead widens: “Dr Bawumia: 63.3%, Kennedy Agyapong: 28.6%, and Dr Acheampong: 6.9%”.
