A close associate of the late Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba, Nana Acheampong, has announced his arrival in Ghana ahead of his brother’s funeral.
Nana Acheampong, announcing his arrival in a post on December 3, 2025, revealed he is in Ghana for Lumba’s final funeral ceremony.
In his Instagram post shared on December 3, 2025, he wrote, “Touched down last night in the motherland. Let’s come together and celebrate the life of my brother, Daddy Lumba… My condolences once again to the family and loved ones”.
Following Daddy Lumba’s demise, Nana Acheampong paid tribute to the late musician with a song titled “Due! K. Fosu.
The two legendary musicians’ friendship started in the 80s.
Nana Acheampong inspired the late musician to make highlife songs, leading to the two forming the “Lumba Brothers”.
In 1989, Lumba Brothers were finally able to release their first album, titled “Υεεγε Aka Akwantuo Mu,” with support from Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of Daddy Lumba.
Meanwhile, also, the eldest daughter of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, has for the first time spoken about her father’s burial slated for December 13, 2025.
Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, speaking to Ghanaians in a viral video at the late musician’s East Legon residence, invited fans and the general public to her father’s funeral at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on 13th December 2025.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu stated, “Hello, my name is Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the eldest daughter of the late Charles Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba. I’m here, representing my entire family today.
We’d like to kindly invite you to my father’s funeral, which will take place on the 13th December in Kumasi. We wish all well-wishers and mourners to join us to celebrate his life.”
Additionally, Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as the Eagle Prophet of the General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel, has dropped a revelation ahead of Daddy Lumba’s funeral.
Eagle Prophet warns that there will be several deaths and accidents during Daddy Lumba’s funeral.
He told sympathisers and well-wishers who will be attending the funeral should be cautious.
