News“I got flown into Ghana to create content” – US Lady accusing Police of Kidnapping her

Arianna Naomi Mackey, the American woman accusing Officers of the Ghana Police of kidnapping and extortion, has said in another video that she was flown into Ghana to create content.

In the viral video, Arianna Naomi Mackey was captured at what looks like Kempinski, a 5-star hotel in Ghana.

Her video has since raised new questions after her earlier claims of being kidnapped and extorted by alleged Ghana Police officers.

Speaking in the viral video, she stated,  “Everyone wants to know how I got flown out to create content on a trip, flight, housing, food paid for, and no, it’s not a brand trip.

Content is so big right now, you can create content for any group”, she added.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has revealed that the American woman, Arianna Naomi Mackey, in the viral video, is frustrating their investigation.

According to the Police CID, the American woman has deleted the alleged kidnapping video and also blocked the Police investigators from reaching her on WhatsApp.

In a statement issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), it revealed, the Police launched an investigation into a viral video in which an American woman, Arianna Naomi Mackey, alleged she was kidnapped and robbed by five masked men she claimed were Ghana Police officers on snap-check duty in Accra.

The Ghana Police Service, preliminary inquiries revealed that the video was recorded at a hotel in Accra where Ms Mackey and two companions were lodging.

The Police statement also revealed that investigators confirmed that the group checked out of the hotel on December 5, 2025, and airport checks showed that Ms Mackey departed Ghana the same day.

Police say attempts to engage the alleged victim for details, including the names of the supposed officers involved or the vehicle’s number plate, have been unsuccessful.

Ms. Mackey reportedly told investigators she was unable to provide the information and that a friend who was with her at the time “does not want to be involved.”

The service further noted that Ms Mackey has since deleted the video and stopped responding to WhatsApp calls and messages from investigators, eventually blocking the police team.

The Ghana Police Service says efforts are ongoing to secure her cooperation through appropriate diplomatic channels.

Meanwhile, Arianna Naomi Mackey in a Speaking in a self-recorded video, the American lady narrated, “Last night I was kidnapped and robbed by Police in Ghana. I was kidnapped by three masked police officers who covered their license plates. They didn’t have name badges on, they took our phones and my camera.

The Uber driver who picked us up at the end of the night told me this is something that happens frequently with the police setting up checkpoints all over the city, and they will stop, and when they find out you are American or have money, then they will take you.

She continued, “They heard my ascent because they asked a question and I had to answer. They checked our bags and our whole bodies. After they checked my bag and I had cash, they told me to get in the car.

I tried to ask why, but they got mad anytime I tried to ask the question. A friend of a friend was in the car, and he was actually cuffed because he was from Ghana; they didn’t cuff me, they drove us around, and I didn’t know where I was. One of the cops had his hand around me all the time.”

The American lady added, “They told me they were going to arrest me and the charges would not let me go back to America, and they told my friend he was going to go to jail. At one point, they were five offices; at another point, they were three.

They pulled over to an ATM They could not go with me to the ATM I wanted to tell the Bank people I was not good, but they still had my phone and camera and the person I was with, so I took out $150 and gave it to them, and they still wanted more money. They got about $400”, she added.

She further added that, thankfully, she was not physically harmed.
