Ken Agyapong’s team dissociate itself from Alex Tetteh’s viral sacrifice video and curses

NewsKen Agyapong's team dissociate itself from Alex Tetteh's viral sacrifice video and curses

The campaign team of Kennedy Agyapong has dissociated itself from Alex Tetteh following his viral video of him sacrificing a sheep and cursing some NPP members particulary Atta Akyea and Abronye.

According to the campaign team of Ken Agyapong, Mr Tetteh is not an official member, representative, or spokesperson of the Campaign adding that his conduct is strictly personal and not the position of the Campaign or their Candidate.

The statement was signed by Kwasi Kwarteng, the Campaign Spokesperson of Ken Agyapong.

It added that Ken Af-gyapong camp “does not condone insults, threats, or any conduct that undermines decency and respectful public discourse.”

Parts of the statement read, “The Campaign wishes to state unequivocally that Mr Tetteh is not an official member, representative, or spokesperson of the Campaign, as such any statements or conduct attributed to him are strictly personal and do not reflect the values, principles, or position of the Campaign or our Candidate”.

“Supporters are reminded to conduct themselves in accordance with Party rules, the laws of Ghana, and the ethical standards of our society, which align with the core principles of our candidate,” it added.

The statement follows: Alex Tetteh sacrificed a sheep and invoked curses on the former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea and Abronye.

Speaking while pouring libation with bottles of schnapps, Alex Tetteh stated that if Atta Akyea was deliberately denying a meeting, there should be spiritual consequences.

He added that if Agyapong’s account of the Heathrow encounter was true and Atta Akyea was refuting it to tarnish the flagbearer hopeful’s reputation, then the invoked curses should take effect on him and those around him.

Alex Tetteh then slaughtered a lamb as part of the ritual.

He also added that anyone who sits on TV and lie particular things being said on Wontumi TV and by Abronye should also be dealt with.

This follows the back and forth between Kennedy Agyapong and Atta Akyea over the former’s claim that the latter used filthy words against Akufo-Addo when they met at Heathrow Airport.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, Atta-Akyea insulted Akufo-Addo and told him that Akufo-Addo was not fit to be president.

Speaking on Skyy FM, Kennedy Agyapong stated, “Atta-Akyea, I could have responded to him, but I am not going to respond to him because, even President Akufo-Addo, he insulted him. he told me at Heathrow Airport that he is not fit to be president at that time Akufo-Addo won.

So, I was surprised when Akufo-Addo appointed him as minister; he accepted it, before I would have replied to him. The filthy words he says when I go to the UN…”

Kennedy Agyapong reiterated, “The filthy words he used to describe Akufo-Addo at the London Heathrow Airport were scary. So if he can criticise someone coming from his own hometown, when he does it to me, I am nobody, so I am not going to respond. But he should remember the things he told me at Heathrow Airport, it was so nasty.

If I had told Akufo-Addo, he would never have made him a minister, but I was quiet; I am not responding to anybody, I am just staying focused. These are distractions because they do not have a message, so they go about saying Kennedy Agyapong is not presidential material”.

Atta Akyea, in response to the statement, stated he has never met Kennedy Agyapong at Heathrow Airport, nor have I ever insulted Akufo-Addo to him.

He further described the claims by Kennedy Agyapong as completely false.

Atta Akyea on UTV stated, “I have never met Kennedy Agyapong at Heathrow Airport, nor have I ever insulted Akufo-Addo to him. These claims are completely false”.
