US captures Venezuela’s President Maduro and wife

President Donald Trump has announced the US...

“Akufo-Addo appointed his own demons; worked with traitors and vampires” – Maurice Ampaw

News“Akufo-Addo appointed his own demons; worked with traitors and vampires” - Maurice Ampaw

Maurice Ampaw, a Legal practitioner, has said former President Akufo-Addo appointed his own demons during his time in office.

According to Maurice Ampaw, Akufo-Addo worked with traitors and vampires like Martin Amidu, Kissi Agyebeng, and former IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare.

Maurice Ampaw further praised Akufo-Addo for his self-restraint and being able to tolerate betrayal.

Speaking on Wontumi TV, Maurice Ampaw explained, “Former President Akufo-Addo is a very good person. I have never seen a President who has self-restrained and tolerated betrayal, a president who appointed his own demons, a president whose own people disappointed him, A president who worked with traitors and vampires who worked against him.

But Akufo-Addo never touched them. He never sacked Martin Amidu, he never sacked Kissi Agyebeng, and he never sacked Dampare, even when he made his government unpopular.”

Maurice Ampaw further alleged that President John Mahama has already decided to remove Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.

He claimed the recent events with Martin Kpebu are a calculated political trap in which Kissi Agyebeng has fallen into.

“Mahama has made up his mind to sack the Special Prosecutor. So what Martin Kpebu did was just a set-up, and Kissi Agyebeng has fallen right into it.”

Maurice Ampaw added, “When Agyebeng was going after NPP appointees, the NDC members were happy. Now the tables have turned, and they are finding ways to sack him.”

“We are beginning to see a pattern where every government wants to reset the system to suit its agenda. This destroys continuity, weakens institutions, and creates dangerous levels of political revenge.”

Also, Maurice Ampaw claimed the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, foiled the NPP’s campaign message by clearing then-opposition leader John Dramani Mahama’s name in the Airbus bribery scandal.

According to Maurice Ampaw, the NPP’s campaign message was to tag Mahama as corrupt to delay his resumption into office.

He accused the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, of exonerating Mahama in the Airbus scandal just to gain favour in his administration.

He stated, “Nana Addo brought Kissi Agyebeng, taking over power, he went after Akufo-Addo’s opponent like the Air Bus case and then targeted NPP appointees like Cecilia Dapaah and others.

“And when we were getting closer to the election, he went to exonerate Mahama from the Airbus scandal”.

“That was NPP’s campaign message, that Mahama was corrupt, so he could have waited for a while. But he bought the idea that if Mahama comes to power, they will protect him. So, he cleared him, and NPP couldn’t tag Mahama as corrupt,” Ampaw claimed.

He further alleged that “Akufo-Addo worked with traitors and vampires but never touched them or sacked them, including former IGP Dampare, who was making the government unpopular.”
