Mussa Dankwah, the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has reaffirmed his earlier polls in December 2025, which projected Dr Mahamudu Bawumia losing to any NDC Candidate in the 2028 elections.

The Pollster has been quoted by GHOne News card to have said, “We conducted a December poll ahead of 2028, Dr Bawumia lost against Ato Forson, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Julius Debrah and Haruna Iddrisu.

Appearing on Joy News, Evans Mensah quizzed Mussa Dankwah, who has been quoted as saying, Dr Bawumia will lose to any NDC Candidate in 2028.

Mussa Dankwah, responding to the question, stated, “There were polling data for December, I did not open my mouth to say it directly, but the numbers were there we did a match head to head, and those were the outcome of the head to head so whether I quoted, anybody can pick that report and say this what the people are saying.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who was also on the show, interjected, saying, “I have a question, Akwatia, your first poll, what did you say in the by-election.

Mussa Dankwah stated, “NPP was leading”

Oppong Nkrumah then added, and then the final one?

Mussa responded, “NDC took over”.

According to Oppong Nkrumah, there is a long journey before 2028, and anything can happen.

Oppong Nkrumah added, “We take it as feedback. In fact, if you pay attention to his polls, they give you guidance on what to try to ace. If you just go beyond the headline numbers, you can see what people are responding to and what people are not, and if you are a good strategist, you will then know what to try and ace for the game ahead of you.

Meanwhile, Mussa Dankwah has said when when former vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is not on the ballot, the NPP sinks.

According to Mussa Dankwah, the Global InfoAnalytics polls regarding the head-to-head between the NPP candidates and NDC candidates, when Bawumia is not on the ballot, the NPP sinks.

He further stressed that if Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is taken out of the NPP, the party’s support in the Northern Region collapses.

Speaking on GHOne TV, Mussa Dankwah stated, “The data shows currently if you take Dr Bawumia out of the NPP equation, their support in the Northern Region collapses, and the Northern Region is not an area that they are strong at.

So you need a figure to hold that region together, and Bawumia is the one who is doing that.

In the Akan areas, that is basically NPP’s base, even if there is a fracture at a point in time, they will come back, but when the North goes from the NPP, it will be hard for them to come back to the NPP. They think that, strategically, it is better to present Dr Bawumia again to hold the North together than ditch him and lose the Northern Region.

Mussa Dankwah added, “From the polls we have done, the scenrio what we call the head-to-head between the NPP candidates and NDC candidates, when Bawumia is not on the ballot, NPP sinks very low nationally, and that number is driven by performance in the North. So they have an eye on that data”.

Before, the NPP had a grip on the Akan part of the country, but now they have lost it, so if they have lost the Akan base and lose the North, that will be a disaster.

Nationally, Akans 36 per cent say they are NDC, 31 per cent say they are NPP. It has never happened before, they are saying that even if the Akans are angry at NPP, it’s theirs, they will come back, but those in the North, if they are angry and go…”.
