Benjamin Kwabena, commonly known as Wofa Atta, a twenty-eight (28)-year-old bicycle repairer, has been sentenced to 18-years in Prison over the defilement of three siblings.
The Bicycle repairer was sentenced by the Bekwai Circuit Court for defilement of two boys, aged eleven(11) and four(4), and their twin sister, also aged four(4).
The convict pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse and was subsequently sentenced on his own plea.
The news shared by SIKAOFFICIAL on X read, “The Bekwai Circuit Court has sentenced twenty-eight (28)-year-old bicycle repairer, Benjamin Kwabena aka, Wofa Atta to 18-years in Prison over the defilement of three siblings, comprising two boys, aged eleven(11) and four(4), and their twin sister also aged four(4).
According to court documents, Wofa Atta exploited his relationship with the victims’ mother and sexually abused the first victim on three occasions, the second on two occasions and the third on one occasion.
The convicted individual, a resident of Ahenema Kokoben Island City, near Trede, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse and was subsequently sentenced on his own plea”.
In related news, a 26-year-old man has been jailed for eighteen years for defiling two minors aged five and six.
The man was imprisoned by the Suhum Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Akua Adu Boahen.
The 26-year-old loading boy was convicted of abusing two minors at Dan Villa, a suburb of Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The man has been identified as Aboagye Dacosta, also known as ‘Kwabota’.
He was found guilty after a full trial and handed 18 years on each count, to run concurrently.
UTV Ghana, which shared the information on social media, stated, “The Suhum Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Akua Adu Boahen, has sentenced a 26-year-old loading boy to 18 years’ imprisonment for defiling two minors aged five and six at Dan Villa, a suburb of Suhum in the Eastern Region.
