Dr Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi and a presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has thrown a jab at his fellow competitors in the NPP presidential race.

The Abetifi lawmaker particularly took a shot at the former vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, following his constant bragging about having ideas to transform Ghana.

Dr Bryan Acheampong asserted that NPP delegates must go and see how those competing with him in the NPP race have truly translated their ideas into action in their communities.

According to him, his ideas are like the biggest hotel in Africa, the longest runway in the world, have solved big problems in Ghana.

Dr Bryan Acheampong also bragged about solving Ghana’s problems with ghostnames using his software.

Speaking at an event, Dr Bryan Acheampong stated, “Those who are competing with me go to their communities and see how their ideas have been translated into action. Ideas, the biggest hotel in Africa, is my idea. The Airport with the longest runway in the world is my idea. I solve big problems that this country is confronted with.

Ghost names, removal of over 50,000 people from the payroll through my software, that was my idea”.

He further added,“All the companies that I run are functioning and employ over 1000 people. In this community, the growth poll that I have established are ideas translated into action.

Those who are competing with me go to their communities and see how their ideas have been translated into action. Is it simple or? And nobody is talking about it; these are ideas translated into bold action that are saving the country a lot of money”.

Meanwhile, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said he would introduce a constituency-based budgeting framework under his leadership.

According to Bawumia, the new proposal will overhaul Ghana’s budgeting system, which will be a more local approach to development financing.

Speaking to some NPP members in the Ashanti Region on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Dr Bawumia explained, “I am bringing a new idea to Ghana. I want to transform our current framework into a constituency-based budgeting framework.

With this, every constituency will be featured in the budget, and the management of that budget will come at the constituency level”.

Dr Bawumia highlighted that the proposed system would ensure development funds and contracts are directly tied to constituencies, which will enhance transparency, accountability, and impact.

“So, when we are awarding a contract, you will know that it is coming straight to your constituency so that you manage it from there. That will help elevate each constituency to drive development for all of us,” Dr Bawumia asserted.

Additionally, Bishop Sam Owusu has said that Kennedy Agyapong will win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary polls scheduled for January 31, 2026 and lead the party as its flagbearer in the 2028 general elections.

According to Bishop Sam Owusu, Kennedy Agyapong will secure about 57.7% to win the NPP’s flagbearer.

The man of God revealed that President Mahama has been ordained to lay a solid foundation, but Kennedy Agyapong is the chosen one to build on and lead an industrial revolution in the country.

In a viral video, Bishop Sam Owusu stated, “Hear me, church, hear me and pray for him so that the mercies of God and the hand of God will continue to bring him to that place.

During the COVID time, I saw the man Kennedy Agyapong leading their party, and last month I mentioned it. And today, the Lord said I should mention it again. Church, hear me and pray for him.”

“I saw over 1 million young men that God has used him to lead, following him,” he added.

The man of God emphatically prophesied that Kennedy Agyapong will secure about “57.7%” of the votes to emerge the winner.

“I kept on prophesying about Kennedy Agyapong. It’s because I saw over 1 million young men that God has used him to lead them, and all of them are doing business,” he stressed.
