Charles Owusu, a former Forestry Commission official has praised President John Mahama following a viral video of him going round every office in the Jubilee House to greet the staff.

According to Charles Owusu, Mahama’s action demonstrated humility and respect towards workers at the Jubilee House.

He further called on CEOs, Members of Parliament and other leaders to emulate Mahama’s example.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, Charles Owusu stated, “One thing President Mahama has done that I’m so pleased and happy about is how he went to every office at the Jubilee House to wish everyone a Happy New Year. That’s impressive. President Mahama God bless me. Most often, when people rise to such high positions, they tend to disregard their workers,” he noted.

I am praying that the ministers, CEOs, MPs and those in privilege position and those with workers under them, we should remember our workers that without them we wont be there.

He further added, “President Mahama going to the agencies, the vice president is also doing same to find out their challenges and encourage them, In fact if God is in Heaven he would be clapping for him. I saw one video of him with his garner talking to everybody”.

His comments follows, President John Dramani Mahama who shared a video of himself paying a surprise visit to all staff of the Jubilee House as he went round personally thanking them for their work and wishing them a happy new year.

In the video, President Mahama met with the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, as he visited every part of the Jubilee House to express his gratitude.

His visit started from the security post to the top offices.

President Mahama, during the visit, praised the Jubilee House staff for their work in 2025 and encouraged them to do more in 2026.

In the almost 3-minute video, President Mahama, in a brief remark to some of the staff before he went round greeting other staff members, stated, “2025 has been a successful year for the government. Normally, I’m the face of it, but they don’t know that those who are cooking are the ones cooking the delicious food. I’m just serving the food.

“So, I came to say thank you for the good work you have done and to encourage you, for 2026, to work even harder and to cook more deliciously for the people of Ghana,” he said.

The Jubilee House staff were amazed by the President’s visit, with most of them surprised, but could not hide their joy.

President Mahama invited them for a hug or handshake, as some of them were shy of him.
