“Halt your attacks on Lordina Mahama, or we will discipline him” – Abronye warned

News“Halt your attacks on Lordina Mahama, or we will discipline him” - Abronye warned

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, has been told to halt his attacks on Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, the Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, a non-governmental organisation, warned Abronye to stop the attacks, else they will mobilise women across the country to deal with him.

She noted that Abronye has persistently and without provocation targeted Lordina Mahama, with the latest attack coming after the first lady’s speech at the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

Madam Nyonkopa Daniels stated, “Abronye is gradually losing control, and it appears everyone has remained silent. His unwarranted attacks on the First Lady are unacceptable”.

“For someone who hails from her region to insult and ridicule her in this manner exposes his erratic behaviour. I believe he may be experiencing a mental breakdown, but we will not stand by and allow him to continue. He must stop immediately, or we will mobilise Ghanaian women to demonstrate against him and ensure he is disciplined.”

She further questioned, “He has misbehaved for too long, and because we allowed him to continue, he now believes he is untouchable. He must halt his attacks, or we will discipline him.”

She further called on women in the Bono Region, the First Lady’s home region, to rise up and speak out against Abronye’s behaviour.

“Their daughter is being treated unfairly, and they must stop him immediately,” she added.

Meanwhile, in related Abronye news Abronye DC has accused former Assin Central MP and flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, of undermining NPP cohesion.

According to Abronye, Kennedy Agyapong’s anti-Christ actions and inactions seriously undermined the cohesion and integrity of the NPP.

On Tuesday, September 30, Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, revealed he is fully prepared to face the committee and defend his actions.

He called for a live broadcast as he agreed to face the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Disciplinary Committee following his referral for alleged misconduct.

Abronye revealed he is prepared to provide evidence of Kennedy Agyapong’s anti-Christ actions and inactions.

“I hereby write to indicate my full preparedness and willingness to appear before the Committee to comprehensively lay bare and substantiate the anti-Christ actions and inactions of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong,” Abronye stated.

Abronye further propose that the sittings of the committee be conducted openly and broadcast live so the rank and file of the NPP may have the opportunity to witness Kennedy Agyapong’s antichrist posture and conduct.

Abronye’s statement comes after Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), referred him to the party’s disciplinary committee.

According to the statement issued by Justin Kodua, he has petitioned the National Disciplinary Committee of the NPP regarding Abronye’s conduct.

Justin Kodua noted that Abronye DC, the NPP Bono regional chairman, was hurting the party’s image and insulting party members by making baseless accusations against him.
