“He peppered my private part and had sex with me after” – Woman in viral assault video

News“He peppered my private part and had sex with me after” - Woman in viral assault video

Harriet Amuzu, the woman in a viral assault video, has recounted more harrowing ordeals meted out to her by her husband, John Odartey Lamptey.

According to Harriet, her husband assaulted her by smearing pepper on her private parts and later forced himself on her.

The victim also revealed she had separated and moved out of the matrimonial home, but the husband deceived her with the pretence that their child was ill.

Harriet Amuzu further revealed that the viral video was not the first time she was abused, adding that she had constantly filed complaints with evidence at the Tesano and Ofankor Police Stations against her husband, but nothing was done by the Police.

Speaking to TV3’s Portia Gabor, Harriet Amuzu narrated, “He went to the kitchen for pepper and accused me of sleeping around, he opened up my thighs, stripped me naked and peppered my private part”.

She further narrated what led to the recent viral video, saying, “I was at a funeral on Saturday in my hometown when he called to say that my younger son was ill and that I must return to care for him. I only came home to find the kids playing, and I asked why he had lied to me. At night, he wanted to have sex with me, but I refused because we had been estranged for five months.

“He beat me because I refused to have sex with him. I was separated from him for 5 months after he physically assaulted me. He hit me with sticks and threatened to kill me after accusing me of sleeping around. I reported several times to the  Police, but they didn’t come to my aid”.

She further added that she had planned to return to her village the following morning, but when she approached her children, Odartey Lamptey prevented her and intentionally lured her back.

She narrated that Odartey Lamptey called another child, Daniel, to take the children out and then locked the door, with her estranged husband then assaulting her.

She added that  Odartey stripped her naked, removing her underwear and waist beads, claiming ownership of them and later beat her with a stick, stepped on her, and threatened her with a knife to cut off her hand.

Meanwhile, John Odartey Lamptey, alias Nii Adjei, the Landlord who was captured in a recent viral video assaulting a person believed to be his wife, and two others, identified as his siblings, have been remanded by the Magistrate Court at DOVVSU for assault and conspiracy to commit a crime.
