The female Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Senior High School student in the viral fondling video has broken her silence, clarifying her age.
According to the KNUST student, she is 19 years old, not 13.
Speaking in an interview on Adom News, she stressed, “Just tell them I am 19 years old; I was born on July 21, 2006. I am not 13 years old”.
Her clarification came after the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, in a claim that the student in the viral video was 13 years old and called for the arrest of the assistant headmaster.
Furthermore, the Ghana Education Service (GES) removed Charles Akwasi Aidoo, Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST Senior High School, after a viral video showed him in a compromised position with a female student.
According to the GES, Mr Charles Akwasi Aidoo has been barred from entering the school premises while investigations are ongoing.
Also, Theophilus Dominic VonDee, Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, has said the viral KNUST Senior High School (SHS) video was consented to by the assistant headmaster and the student.
According to the Member of Parliament, Charles Akwasi Aidoo, the Assistant Headmaster did not force the young girl.
He emphasised that, looking at the video, they both agreed to do that.
Speaking on Adom TV on September 30, 2025, Theophilus Dominic VonDee stated, “I am a realist, I don’t like saying things that are not what it is. I like to say things the way they like. If you watch the video carefully, sincerely, the man was not forcing the young girl. He didn’t force her; it was more of a consented thing.”
The MP added, “The old man and the young lady agreed to do that, and it must be established. There is no sin… in saying the man forced the young lady. It was a consented thing; both agreed to be in that mood”.
However, a former Assistant Headmaster of KNUST Senior High School, Daniel Boamah-Duku, has weighed in on the viral video capturing Charles Akwasi Aidoo fondling a female student.
According to the Ex-KNUST assistant head, the KNUST SHS female student is a bad girl who smokes wee and was even deboarded for Bad Behaviour.
Daniel Boamah-Duku further quizzed how Charles Akwasi Aidoo would give his phone to such a girl and involve himself with her.
He revealed Charles Akwasi Aidoo, a long-time friend whom he calls Stonebwoy, has surprised him with his actions.
Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa TV on October 1, 2025, Boamah-Duku alleged that the student “smokes wee” and had been expelled from the school’s boarding house due to misconduct, which forced her to continue as a day student.
He remarked, “No matter who you are, you cannot extort money from children. The law even says that we should not manhandle them. Even if a child offers herself to you, you must not engage her. So, God should help us all.
The child in question, from what I know she is not a good girl. She smokes weed. And I am surprised that Stonebwoy would associate with her because this is a child we disciplined and expelled from the boarding house”.
He added, “Why would you give your phone to such a girl and involve yourself with her? She is a bad girl. Stonebwoy has been my friend for years, and he is also an old student”.
Meanwhile, the Gender Minister has now revealed that efforts are being made to get the assistant headmaster arrested.
The Gender Minister further stated, “You know what the laws of the land are. Even if you are underage and you offer yourself to a man, and the man takes advantage of you, if you’re the one who even went there, the law says that once you’re underage, you should be protected, and that’s all we’ll do”.
“As to whether the girl took the video or went there [voluntarily], don’t let us justify abuse and all of these things going on. Sexual harassment is abuse, and abuse is sexual harassment. Don’t make excuses for it”, she asserted.
She emphasised, “And let us be in awareness so we can support people and protect them from being victimised and stigmatised. So that people will not be afraid to report”.
