A teenage boy who has broken his silence following a viral ‘sex’ video involving the Assembly Member for Effiakuma West, Edward Senam Azalekor, were he was forced to have sex with a teen girl.
According to the boy, he was dragged from his hostel, assaulted and forced to have sex with the young girl.
He narrated that the incident occurred by the side of the road at Effia Cocoa Villa in the Western Region, with many people looking on.
The boy disclosed that around 1 a.m. on the day of the incident, the Assembly Member arrived at his hostel with three other individuals and a girl they claimed he was in a relationship with.
Speaking to the Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show, he stated, “They took me to their vehicle and drove me to a vulcanising shop around Effia Cocoa Villa. The girl’s mother was there when I arrived”.
He disclosed that upon arrival, the Assembly Member initially asked him to have an affair with the girl’s mother, but he resisted, which escalated the situation with the Assembly member going into his car to get a belt.
He narrated, “That was when he went into his vehicle, brought out a belt, and started beating both the girl and me. He then asked me to sleep with the girl beside the roadside where the vulcanising shop is located”.
“People passing by were watching us while we were being forced to have an affair, and others stood by recording videos. I could not tell my friends what had happened out of shame,” he added.
Additionally, a colleague of the victim, Joseph Idun, detailed that they attempted to trace their friend after he was taken away.
“It was around 1 a.m. when they came to our place. They claimed our friend was in a relationship with the girl and said they wanted to take him away. They made him get into their vehicle and drove off. We tried to trace them, but we didn’t have a vehicle, so we were unsuccessful,” he stated.
The victim’s father, Yaw Agyemang, also narrated, “I was at home when someone approached me with a video of my son being forced to have an affair with a girl. I immediately called my son to ask why he had not informed me,” he explained.
“I did not understand why the school had not taken any action or reported the incident to the police. I wanted to report it myself, but the teacher asked me to exercise patience since my son was under their care,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Police, Edward Senam Azaliko, an Assembly Member for Effiakuma West and Martin Amuzu have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

The Western Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects captured in a viral video physically assaulting two teenagers, a male and female aged 13 and 17 years, and forcing them to have sexual intercourse”.
The suspects, Edward Azalekor, 52 years, and Martin Amuzu, 35, who is an uncle to the female victim, were arrested on Thursday, 26th February, 2026, at Effiakuma, following a WhatsApp video received from a presenter at Connect FM. In the video, which has since gone viral, the suspects were seen forcing the two teenagers to have sexual intercourse in a shop in the full glare of others who were cheering, laughing, and filming the act.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the female had left home in the afternoon of 16th February, 2026, without informing the mother and returned later in the night at about 7:40pm.
Her mother became annoyed and informed suspect Edward Azalekor, Assemblyman for Effiakuma West Electoral Area, to discipline her.
The suspects then lured the teenage boy to the scene and forced him to have sexual intercourse with the girl for them to see.
The accused persons were put before the Harbour District Court at Takoradi today, Friday, 27th February, 2026, and they were granted bail in the sum of GHC 20,000.00 each, to reappear on Thursday, 5th March, 2026”.
