Special Aide to Ibrahim Mahama, the CEO of Engineers & Planners Ltd & Dzata Cement Ltd, Rafik Mahama, has revealed that his boss’s new private jet was purchased in early 2024.
According to Rafik Mahama, the brand new Bombardier Global 6500 was purchased in early 2024 and underwent extensive manufacturing processes before its final delivery yesterday, February 3, 2026.
In a post shared by CDR Africa, they stated, “According to Rafik Mahama, Special Aide to Dr Ibrahim Mahama, the brand new Bombardier Global 6500 was purchased in early 2024 and underwent extensive manufacturing processes before its final delivery in February 2026”.
His remarks put to bed propaganda being ignited by the opposition NPP following news of President John Mahama’s brother acquiring a new private jet.
Some Ghanaians on X reacting to the news stated, “Demma propagandas no dey even last for 1 week sef.. lmao”
One X user added, “It’s common knowledge that aeroplanes are not like candies you pick up from the nearest supermarket. However, because he’s related to the President, unscrupulous political agents and their assigns will try to twist the facts.
However, he’s got the business track record for anyone who cares to know”.

The revelation follows, news of Ibrahim Mahama taking delivery of his brand-new Bombardier Global 6500 private jet.
In a viral video shared by SIKAOFFIAL, Ibrahim Mahama’s new aircraft featured a custom white and grey paint job branded “Dzata,” which means Lion.
Reports suggest the brand-new Bombardier Global 6500 is worth over $70 million.
SIKAOFFICIAL in his post stated, “Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama has acquired a brand-new Bombardier Global 6500 worth over $70 Million, customised in a grey and white paint job with his signature Dzata design”.
In the video, the Ghanaian business mogul, Ibrahim Mahama, was spotted arriving in a Black Mercedes-Benz, where he went on to board his new aircraft.
Also, Ibrahim Mahama has announced that his old private jet will now serve as an emergency air ambulance for every Ghanaian.
