A die-hard Dr Mahamudu Bawumia fan has warned persons thinking of replacing the former vice president will die and leave their wives and children.

According to the Die-hard Dr Bawumia fan, the 2024 flagbearer of the NPP must be retained for the 2028 elections.

Speaking in a viral video, the die-hard Dr Bawumia supporter warned, If you want to die and leave your wife and children, go and fool and change Bawumia, you will die, no fucking change, Bawumia retain and maintain no change, no fucking change”.

The Die-hard Dr Bawumia fan’s remark has ignited comments on social media, with netizens reacting, saying, “Politics will make you say some words as though the one you are fighting for pays you in dollars every month. Meanwhile, you only get a t-shirt and a bag of rice without oil and tomatoes”.

Another X user wrote, “That Bawumia supporter just dropped the most unhinged ‘vote or else” line I’ve heard in Ghanaian politics this cycle 🔥Tomorrow’s primary is about to be wild”.

An X user added, “So one malt they gave Opana, and he’s ranting like this. Hunger will set in soon, and they will dash him GHC50. Till the next 4 years”.

“If you ask this foolish man here how much he has received from Dr Bawumia, he will say 0 Ghana cedis. Sometimes I pity these poor people, they will risk their lives, health, future and everything to put someone’s father into a position. In the end, he gets nothing”, another netizen added.

One last netizen added, “Oh God, protect Ghana from this leadership. We are tired of NPP and NDC. We need someone who can build the nation for us. We have so many young people out there with big dreams, but bad leadership is killing our dreams”.

Meanwhile, the former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Abetifi MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Bosomtwe MP, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, are the five contesting to become the NPP flagbearer for the 2028 election.

211,849 registered NPP delegates across 16 regions of the country are voting in the keenly anticipated NPP presidential primaries.

NPP delegates from all 16 regions, and all 275 constituencies, grassroots organisers, constituency executives, and Members of Parliament are expected to vote.

Over 900 voting centres have been set up for the exercise, with voting ending at  3:00 PM, after which counting will commence immediately.

Also, a central collation centre has been established in Accra, where all certified results from each of the 275 constituencies will be transmitted for final certification and declaration.
