The Queen Mother of the Kwahu Traditional Council, Nana Adwoa Gyemfua III, has broken her silence following her abduction.
Nana Adwoa Gyemfua was abducted following a raid at the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Kwahu Traditional Council at Abene.
Reports suggest the attack occurred on Monday, November 17, 25, around 4 a.m.
According to the information gathered, Armed men, reportedly dressed in police uniforms, claiming to be from the National Security, raided the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Kwahu Traditional Council at Abene.
The official Toyota Land Cruiser of the Kwahuhene was taken during the raid.
Tracking information from the Toyota Land Cruiser revealed was en route to Accra.
The Nkawkaw and Kwahu Divisional Police Commands have said they had no knowledge of any operations conducted by the personnel who identified themselves as national security agents.
The Kwahuhemaa has alleged that the destooled chief, Eugene Kwasi Boadi Asante, formerly known as Daasebre Akuamoah Agyepong II, was behind her abduction.
Speaking to the media after her release on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, she stated, “He and his driver attempted to collect our car, but we refused. I knew Boadi was involved”.
“Kwasi Boadi’s driver wanted to take the car keys from me, but I refused. So they deflated the tyres of the vehicle to prevent us from moving out. They ransacked the vehicle, and I still don’t understand why,” Nana Adwoa Gyemfua III added.
“When we got to the palace junction, they told me they were calling the police officer who led the team for me to speak with because I needed to access the palace to take my drugs and keys, but he declined my request,” she narrated.
Nana Gyemfua III added, “I called Nana Achemfour to narrate the incident to him, but the officers still did not allow me to go for my keys.”
“The dress I am wearing now is the one my child bought for me the previous night, because the clothes I was picked up in were very dirty. My child asked someone to get me another one,” she explained.
Nana Gyemfua III said, “They asked for his whereabouts, and I told them he was in Accra. Before I completed my statement, I saw Daasebre coming barefoot, wearing just a singlet. He had been restrained so roughly that the shorts he was wearing were torn from behind. I asked him why he was barefoot and without a shirt, and he explained that the police had taken them. I accepted his response, but we kept waiting for someone to come forward and say something, yet no one did.”
Also, a viral video of Kwahumanhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, wailing like a baby as he dares personnel of the Ghana Police Service to arrest him has surfaced on social media.
Daasebre Akuamoah, in the viral video, was captured daring the officers who wanted to arrest him, wailing as he said, “I’m not going anywhere with you. Arrest me, arrest me if you can”.
