Netizens on social media have fired shots at the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh, after he labelled President John Mahama a ‘dead sheep’.
Frank Annoh Dompreh had boldly stated he strongly believes the former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will return to lead Ghana.
According to Frank Annoh Dompreh, if the so-called ‘dead sheep’ (John Mahama) could return to power after losing power, he firmly believes in God’s name, Dr Bawumia will also return to lead Ghana as president.
Speaking to NPP delegates during Dr Bawumia’s campaign tour in the Eastern Region, Annoh Dompreh, stated, “If the so-called ‘dead sheep’ could return and become president, and if Mahama could lose power and come back to lead again, then I believe former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia can also return and become president”.
His comment has led to social media users firing shots at him following his remarks.
According to one X user, it is no wonder Annoh Dompreh was told not to be silly by Emefa Hardcastle, the Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission.
The netizen stated, “No wonder he was told ‘not to be silly’ by Emefa Hardcastle. How on earth would a person of his pedigree make such a pronouncement on a sitting President? Can we continue to go on that tangent in our political discourse?”
Another X user added, “What’s really wrong, Dr Bawumia and his communicators/campaign team?, K T Hammond, Wontumi,Abrony3,KoKa,Ata Kyea, Ano Dompre… Reserve team is Afia Swar, Ghana Jollof and Fante comedy, eiii what a solid team”.
“NPP people don’t know what hit them. Mahama’s case is completely different. Bawumia was supposed to be the economic Wizkid. What is he going to campaign on again, yahoo boy?”, a netizen added.
Another Ghanaian added, “My greatest fear for the future of NPP is that if Dr. Bawumia becomes president now, they will never allow him to perform to his full potential because too many high-ranking officials are involved with their own personal agendas. It will be the worst Ghana has ever recorded”.
“Heheheeei… someone should tell him to stop this foolishness. What has the resurrection power of Jesus done in this….if they have now turned into preachers, they can now build a cathedral in opposition and start preaching. Sia!”, One X user added.
One netizen stated, “If I were an NPP delegate, I would be worried. The way these people talk to the NPP delegates says a lot about the lenses through which they view them, and how much of a premium they put on people’s intelligence”.
Additionally, a netizen added, “Basically, you cannot compare His Excellency John Mahama to Dr Bawumia. The President had a good record. Let me refresh your mind with some of his achievements when he was President. Note that we don’t vote for people because of sympathy or because they were born in the party”.
One more X user added, “Honourable, that’s a very careless statement. These small communication mistakes will only harm your party. Ghanaians are already against the NPP, and the NDC has done its part in handling the economy so well so far”.
“The delegates are not even impressed, kwasia lie sei”, a netizen added.
