Adams Sukparu, the Member of Parliament for Sisala West and Deputy Communication Minister, has made a bold declaration about the John Mahama-led NDC government.
According to the Sisala MP, only witches and wizards would choose not to appreciate the NDC government’s good work.
Adams Sukparu is quoted by a GHOne news card to have said, “ Only a witch or Wizard would choose not to appreciate the good work this NDC government is doing”.
Some Ghanaians reacting to the GHOne flyer shared by Nana Aba Anamoah stated, “If the government of the day is doing a good work, like by now 35 million of this population would have been enjoying stable, proper water and stable flow of electricity, these are some of the things we must be thinking about as citizens, not stomach direction political talk”.
“Instead of making things right, you’re now calling us who voted you in power witches and wizards. 208 is around the corner”, a netizen stated.
A netizen added, “People are now crying real and actual cries, not the internet propaganda they did against the NPP to win the election in 2024”.
“The NPP is made up of Witches, wizards, demons and all the fallen angels; that’s the reason for not seeing the good works of this government. It’s part of their nature and training not to see any good work. Abayifo”, one X user added.
A netizen added, “Good morning to you too, Madam. But tell Hon. Sukparu that even witches and wizards dey pay the same high electricity bills and buy fuel for crazy prices. The only real magic here is how this government turned ‘change’ into more suffering Lol”.
AN X user added, “Siato, who is a deputy minister of communication, cannot define how AI can help Ghana. But @JDMahama found it more pressing to give $250 M to @samgeorgeghfor AI. When hospital beds are a luxury in Ghana”.
“Someone who cannot define AI or even coding. But needs $25m to implement the policy on AI. Leader of the Wizards”, a netizen noted.
Meanwhile, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader, has said there is a huge disappointment among Ghanaians towards the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The minority leader predicted that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be shocked if elections were conducted today.
According to Afenyo-Markin, Ghanaians are highly disappointed in the John Mahama-led NDC government.
He predicted that if an election were held today, the NDC would be shocked as they would meet with a worse defeat than the NPP suffered in the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on April 6, 2026, Afenyo-Markin stated, “Listen, the way world politics is going, if you don’t domesticate, you collapse. And NDC should not take things for granted. There’s a huge disappointment out there. They will be shocked if elections are held today. What happened to us in 2024, theirs will be worse”.
“I wish them well, though, because if the country succeeds, all of us will benefit. So I’m not looking at it from a political lens, but from the national interest,” he stated.
Also, Senyo Hosi, a Finance and economic policy analyst, has told President John Dramani Mahama that his honeymoon period back in government is over.
According to Senyo Hosi, the Mahama government must focus on substantive issues that affect our people, like production and employment for our youth.
He detailed that the Ghanaians will soon stop discussing the sins of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as they start to demand accountability from the Mahama government.
Senyo Hosi is quoted to have said, “People now are going to stop discussing what Nana Addo was like. People are now going to hold this government accountable for their own aspirations as human beings, as Ghanaians and their expectations of governance.
Real lives are at stake, and real questions will start being asked. Nana Addo is fast becoming history in people’s expectations and people’s problems about governance. People have accountability issues. Are you really delivering accountability beyond the press conferences and saying…Who has become accountable after over a whole year in office?
We were having conversations with the transport minister about the efficiency of procurement, about you still doing single sourcing. People are seeing these things and will start judging you on its own merit”.
He added, This is the defining year for John Mahama; the real state of his government will be evaluated after this year. Next year is campaign mode, and there will be a lot of disruption, but this is an indication that your honeymoon is over, so please get focused on the substantive issues that affect our people. Production, employment for our youth, we are looking clearly about accountability”.
