The Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will on Thursday, December 11, 2025, submit the official Bawku mediation report to President John Dramani Mahama.
Reports suggest, President John Mahama will receive the Bawku Mediation Report at a ceremony to be held at the Jubilee House.
According to the information gathered, the presentation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. with senior government officials, traditional leaders and the mediation team expected at the Jubilee House.

The news follows a statement signed by the Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace, Kofi Badu, which announced the completion of the mediation in the Bawku chieftaincy conflict after the Asantehene convened a final face-to-face meeting between the disputing factions at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The Manhyia palace, in a statement released after the completion of the mediation in the Bawku chieftaincy conflict, announced that the delegations representing the Naayiri and the Bawku Naba, including chiefs, lawyers, academics, and community leaders, engaged in cordial discussions, reaffirming that they are one people with no reason for conflict.
Also, the Asantehene commended both sides for their maturity, urged them to prepare their followers to permanently abandon violence.
The Manhyia statement read, “His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, today rounded off his mediation effort in the 3awku chieftaincy crisis with a face-to-face meeting between the contending parties at the Manhyia Palace Jubilee Hall, Kumasi.
Chief Tarana John Wuni Grumah, Paramount Chief of Tarana Traditional Area and spokesperson of the Naayiri, led a 30-member delegation to represent His Majesty Naa Bohugu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, the Naayiri and Overlord of the Mamprugu and the Mamprusis, while Naba Tambis Baalug, Paramount Chief of Pusiga, led the delegation representing the Bawku Naaba Zugraan Asigri Aburgrago Azoka II and the Kusasi people. Hon. Cletus Avoka acted as spokesperson for the Kusasi delegation, with Dr Issah as spokesperson for the Naayiri and Mamprusis. Both delegations comprised Chiefs, Lawyers, Academies, Opinion and Youth Leaders.
After spending several months listening to both parties present their arguments in separate meetings, His Majesty had brought both sides to speak directly to each other in a final effort to explore a pathway to lasting resolution of the issues that have persistently undermined the peace in the Bawku traditional area.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere with both sides emphasising the fact that they are one people who have no reason to be at war with each other.
His Majesty thanked both sides for their civility and maturity and urged them to remember that whatever the outcome of the mediation, they would have to live together as brothers and sisters. He urged the leaders to start preparing the minds of their supporters to be prepared to put an end permanently to violence and disorder in their communities.
His Majesty announced that he would submit his report with his proposals to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama in the next few days. He hoped that the President would act expeditiously and_çonvene a formal meeting of all interested parties to announce the outcome of the mediation mission”.
