A food vendor has reportedly been shot by unidentified assailants at her residence.
Reports suggest the food vendor has been identified as the owner of the popular local eatery Ohemaa’s Kitchen.
According to reports, the attack happened on the night of February 25, 2026, shortly after the popular food vendor returned home from work.
In the viral 3-second video, the lifeless body of the popular local eatery Ohemaa’s Kitchen was seen on the floor.
In a post shared by CDR Africa on X stated, “A food vendor in Atebubu in the Bono East Region has reportedly been shot by unidentified assailants at her residence.
The victim, owner of the popular local eatery Ohemaa’s Kitchen, was attacked on the night of February 25, 2026, shortly after returning home from work”.
Some Ghanaians reacting to the tragic news stated, “Comparatively, the NPP government did well when it comes to security”.
One X user added, “The insecurity in the country is sickening. Ghana police, we want to see you put in the same energy here like you are doing for sammy gyamfi ‼️ condolence”.
Another netizen added, “This is heartbreaking. A hardworking woman just trying to earn a living should never have to face this. Praying for justice and safety for everyone in Atebubu”.
“Ghanaians come oh, gather here. Let’s gather to mock the insecurity in NIGERIA like we always do online. Let’s mock Nigerians. Ghana, a country with no crimes or criminals, Ghanafuo!”, a netizen added.
“What is happening to Ghana. Every day, we hear of horrendous crimes and atrocities. Every day we hear of many accidents in a day. Our fishermen are being kidnapped on the high sea”, a netizen added.
One more Ghanaian wrote, “Every day dem dey kill person in this country tomorrow somebody go burn his wife and kids, tomorrow next dem go shoot mobile money vendor chale this is alarming ooo hmm”.
“If the NPP did well when it came to security, then who are those causing the insecurity under such a hardworking government. The evil men are all around us bcos party has changed hands? God punish us all”, another X user added.
Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has lauded the Ghana Police Service for recent operations that led to the arrest of dangerous criminals.
Speaking at the 2026 State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Friday, February 27, President Mahama stated, “I want to take this opportunity to commend the IGP and the police service for arresting and bringing dangerous criminals to book across the country”.
